@@abandonedcentral it is, but thank you for sharing. Seems like a lot of people didn’t know about it. That’s important and great documentation of some very dark history you’ve brought out into the light.

I will and can't never understand that some people really believe that they are better than others cause of their skincolor.... thanks for sharing with us.

I can’t believe you’re here in SC! Head to downtown Charleston. There’s SO MANY abandoned buildings like churches, schools, etc. that I’m sure you would have no problem getting into.

We shot this video last year. Charleston does have some great buildings to explore though. Thanks for watching Matt!

Damn. I have never heard of this case and I'm from the south and we were taught most all other civil rights incidents in highschool. Thanks for this.

I have an indrect connection to this whole thing and haven't hear until recently (and I am 37 years old). There are so many other stories that we have not heard about and truly, if not stumbling upon, will not.

@@oshynclair7592 if they honor the tragic history why not. If they reopen it and honor its history, I say support it, because the hitsory will be lost if not. Now if they are simply thumbing their nose at the tragic history, I agree, do not support it.

Glenn Pierce 1971 & George Pappas 1973. P.B.A. Regional Champions st that bowling alley & 2 National P.B.A. touring pros that were synonymous with the early 70's. Wow, just adds to the history of that bowling alley. Old nostalgic bowling collectibles spread throughout the alley. Would love to attend that auction! Great video for bowling history. Disheartening video from a civil rights viewpoint.

Lot to like about his one, the story and history, the things left behind, even the thumbnail photo of the shoes is really good! The comment about your 'lungs' made me laugh. Enjoyed, thanks!

did anyone else notice at 9:41 the bowling bowl with Harry Floyd's name on it? kinda shocked something of his would have been kept there all these years after everything that happened.

Crazy thing.. I never knew this story or anything about it until recently. My family recently closed (very recently sold, well the 6 plus acres it sat on) 60 plus year old bowling alley... So I sat here search abandoned bowling alleys and I found another video on this... Then to see my uncle, 1972, P. Zevgolis, my uncle Paul.. yeah that was and is crazy. Also to hear, prior to knowing anything about this, from my uncle himself, on how my grandfathter was, sneaking African American's in through the back door to his cafeteria (prior to the bowling alley), to let them work when they were no supposed to, and even telling them he wished he could promote them to management positions, yeah this truly hits home.

It's absolutely amazing the place has been abandoned for 16 years and is still in that good of shape. It has to be a very old center because they have the ancient AMF 82-30 pinsetters and the first AMF surepik ball racks. Pretty sad to see a place in such decay and waste. Excellent video, though.

Bit silly starting a riot and attacking people just because you can't get in to a bowling alley . Violence doesn't solve anything.
