I'm a Toyota fan. We drive the pre-lifted G variant of this. But I agree that this is a lil bit on the expensive side for the features. Trim a 100k or 200k then it's gonna be more competitive.

It’s a nice upgrade for sure but at that price point, add a bit more and you can get a decent pre-owned Prado or an older LC200. So if I had that kind of money, I would go with an LC200 which not only gives you pretty much the same features maybe even better albeit a much much older car, but we all know that the LC not only lasts you a lifetime but its looks never goes out of style. Also, these features should’ve been included in the previous releases. The competition already had these features, Toyota is trolling us once again. And before you brand me as a hater, I do own a 2018 Fortuner.

Massive improvement over the pre-facelift! Yes it costs more, but despite that, I think it's better value than before (not saying much, but still an improvement). Easily one of the best in its class now.

Not for me. In here in the USA. I drive and own full size Suv. Currently I have an Escalade but when I retire next year and move back to PI. I will get me the smaller RAV4. Easy to find parking. Can get in and out of traffic faster. Burns less gas.

LTD, V, G, E, J are the variants of toyota. Does the Q means the lowest of the lowest variant as in the base? Does the Q means that there is no letter behind the back what variant it is? Because I can see some toyota's without any letter at the back.

I think the reason it was never sold was because in the US, the 4runner is sold there which is a mid-size SUV, the Fortuner is also a mid-size SUV.

LTD, V, G, E, J are the variants of toyota. Does the Q means the lowest of the lowest variant as in the base? Does the Q means that there is no letter behind the back what variant it is? Because I can see some toyota's without any letter at the back.
Q is 2nd to LTD,G is the base model,there is no J.

Those are the toyota taxi's you can see in the metro.
J is the next variant after the no letter.
E is the upgraded version of J.
G is the lower version of V.
V is the top of the line.
LTD is top top of line
For the past 25 years i've been driving around the metro and buying cars from toyota, i've never seen a Q variant. No, you're telling me there is no J variant? Funny. 😅
2nd gen Fortuners do not include the model letter (E, G, V, Q) at the back. Only the LTD has. Maybe you are thinking about other models.
@@paulgallegos to be honest there are fortuner with letters at the back. My cousin owns one. You would know of its G or V. Most toyotas have letter to identify the line of that specific vehicle. I have innova, wigo and vios.
