My favorite music is jazz as well, but my 2nd favorite is 80s R&B and pop (really anything from the 80s). I'd say my clothing style is closer to jazz. I'm not crazy about 80's style clothes and don't feel nostalgic about them. But I love the fashion of the 30s and 40s and really lean towards anything that gives those eras.

Not sure. Overall, what I like, is not a particular genre per but the traditional as opposed to the experimental. I like jazz and a favourite artist is Robert Glasper. He is a genius. His music is influenced by his jazz ancestors, while embracing other key traditional African American music forms like blues, gospel and RnB. I like reegae too but again I like roots reggae not it's many modern manifestations, for e.g. dancehall. As for country and western, I like bluegrass. In every genre, I like the traditional so I'm not sure what that looks like sartorially.
Do you tend to dress classically? Conservatively? Do you partake in trends or do tend to stick to what you know ? It sounds like you find comfort and ease in the tradtional. From traditional jazz to early reggae it all comes with a sense of uniformity yet layback ease. Blue grass , jazz , and reggae for example all have a quite layback feel to them. I would love to know the three words you used to describe your style. There is most certaintly a pattern here. This is very interesting!

😂😂 When they are first installed, they can be a bit painful. However as time goes on, they loosen up.The weight of them can get to be a bit much sometimes.🤦🏾♀️ So I need to rest my scalp for a while. Hope that makes sense🤗

It's interesting and I wonder what that must do for the psyche. I just watch Devon On Deck (men's fashion CC) talk about the same thing and what he's going to do going forward. I fully understand that where you're coming from. I was a model as a teen in the 90s and I left it for that very reason when a show director suggested I downsize my boobs if I wanted to make it big on the runway and I found myself apologizing profusely as a 17 year old. That was the last time I ever felt the need to conform my personal beauty view to someone else.

Great video as always. Let me answer your questions (1) I love the Idyl pieces. Very much simple elegance which you can wear on all occasions. (2) It's funny you mentioned Banana Republic, I was on their site last week stalking the most PERFECT leather jacket (which will be a gift to myself). They have definitely gone to another level. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the way you switched up your delivery of your videos. You are not just “showing clothes” never thought about correlating music with a person actually style. Honestly I have always left comments about how I love the bits of jazz music that you add and honestly, I don’t really listen to jazz but it’s so relaxing and romantic and it speaks to my soul.
I also own the evil eye and the celestial modular earrings from Idyl and I love ❤❤❤❤❤❤ them. The white gold and diamonds just stand out. I am going to work towards a necklace but I do love the gold hoops/ diamonds. You can build points to apply towards future purchases as well.

😂😂 When they are first installed, they can be a bit painful. However as time goes on, they loosen up.The weight of them can get to be a bit much sometimes.🤦🏾♀️ So I need to rest my scalp for a while. Hope that makes sense🤗

The more I pay attention the more I understand the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". As I was about to compliment how you look so naturally beautiful and that the natural makeup, gold earrings, red pj's, and your hair pulled back like that gives you a lady of the house glam. You comment and turn up nose at the state of your hair deflated my compliment and really brought that phrase home. 🙃😑🤔🙁😉

People can be very rude , terrible and down right nasty. Me bring attention to certain things before they do is a way to disarm those people who choose to tell me my head is to big , my hair looks like a bees nest , and my favorite... my smile looks like the Joker. 🤦🏾♀️ These are all things sombody on the internet has told me.😂 However, I find that if I point something out before they do , I can circumvent thier snide remarks. No it's not the best method but the internet is brutal! I'm just trying to survive. Sorry for the rude comments and how they made you feel and have had to apologize for being you. I hope my comment did not offend you. I've seen this happened with other creators too over the years. It's interesting and I wonder what that must do for the psyche. I just watch Devon On Deck (men's fashion CC) talk about the same thing and what he's going to do going forward.
I fully understand that where you're coming from. I was a model as a teen in the 90s and I left it for that very reason when a show director suggested I downsize my boobs if I wanted to make it big on the runway and I found myself apologizing profusely as a 17 year old. That was the last time I ever felt the need to conform my personal beauty view to someone else.
