Fine video. I visited Kulmbach many years ago. I remember the town being famous for the EKU brewery which brewed beer with 11% alcohol content.

I was born and raised in this beautiful little town. Though I live in Ireland for the last 25 years, I'm still in love with Kulmbach.😍

This felt like a BBC special and I loved it! More destination videos, so my girlfriend and I have something to watch before we travel.

Very nice video! I really enjoy these destination videos, although they somehow make me sink into my own thoughts so much that I notice I totally didn't listen to part of it, and then have to jump back and watch it again. But since they are really timeless and beautiful, it is always worth it.

Make sure you get plenty of money and use it to fund trips all over Germany and Europe (and maybe even the rest of the world).

I live in Kulmbach and it's not a bad place at all. Bit of a "Heile Welt" energy, we always feel a little culture shock when visiting other, larger cities. And we're always happy to return home.

Kulmbach. Most famous for being home to The Kulminator!
Actually until 7 minutes ago that was all I knew about Kulmbach. :-)

Are you sure? I thought the Kulminator was in Antwerp.

Kulminator Urtyp hell aka EKU 28 is a very strong Doppel Bock beer brewed in Kulmbach.
It used to be the strongest normally brewed (no partial freezing or other tricks) available in Germany.

Another very lovely town to visit some time would be Coburg, not far from Kulmbach. It was the seat of the Dukes of Sachsen, Coburg and Gotha and has a very rich history.
It was once my home town.

I love your travel videos. Please keep making them. Oh, and that sandwich looked SOOO good! We don't get good German food here in the Boston area (we can sometimes find really bad liverwurst in the grocery.) If you ask for Knockwurst they give you a lousy hot dog! Oh well, time to order on-line!
Okay, in fairness, we do have really nice Italian sausage, especially at the St. Anothny festival in the North End.

Ever considered to visit Regensburg? Cultural and historical a beautiful city with many old parts still existing, since there were no or just very few attacks in ww2.
Most attractive would be maybe the old Reichstagsgebäude, near the town hall, that served as "Parlament" for the Holy Roman Empire in medieval times.

what a great video. Almost all of the buildings were destroyed by war or religious wars (that was ugly), in 2:55 they even have to build the church/god house with cannon on the top of the tower, sound like an army base than a church. History always gives us lessons to learn and not to repeat it again.

That doesn't look like a flagpole at all, rather a like a partisan, a very short form of a polearm often used by officers back then. So I guess both stories are wrong.

In all seriousness, I have actually been there, and it's not very exciting. I think the reason that particular meme works so well is that Bielefeld is a very forgettable place: nobody would miss it if it really didn't exist.

    • @nogen2475
