Cybertron and Armada Starscream hold a deep heart for me being my favorite design. Especially Armada. I love the characteristics of him. Cybertron was my favorite show when I grew up.
I've owned both the Voyager and Supreme versions of the original Cybertron mold as well as Galaxy Meteor from Maketoys. This one definitely seems to take inspiration from the latter.
Jumped onto this one the moment Pulse pre-orders came up and I eagerly await him. Cybertron Starscream rocks for being so grandiose in his machinations and actually backing up his boasts.
The illusionary assassin. I kinda want to see Starscream being an assassin again, just like I want to see him with nuance and being competent that he rivals Megatron not just in power but tactical prowess
My favorite unspoken feature of this beaut is that the blade armor can be pegged into his forearms for beastly arm blades, maybe a byproduct of his transformation but ts just another awesome feature of this perfection of a figure
It’s most likely not a byproduct of his transformation. Hasbro has been putting weaponizer ports on the arms, legs, and back of a lot of bots recently. Sometimes, these weaponizer ports (which are just 5mm ports, the same size as the handle for most weapons) are used for transformation.
you know, I appreciate how it feels Hasbro's finally using the price increases to make the figures better. Most of these recent figures have been good to great, I think this is one of the best put together voyager-classes in a long time, like honestly he's more articulated than the Tarn mold even, and that was the gold standard. Of course this mold you can only use for cybertron starscream, but I appreciate them feeling more "worth it" recently, and cramming as much detail and articulation, and mass, as they can fit in a particular size class. Maybe one day we will genuinely see articulated fingers on everything after they did it with SS109.
All jokes aside though but that star scream was very ambitious and posed a big threat to Optimus and megatron. I remember he took down Optimus and all the autobots to get the last cyber planet key that would give him his giant form. So yes megatron should heed star screams threat 😂

emgo316 I’m not sure if anyone has said it yet in the comments or not but the shoulders are connected on a double hinge joint so you can pull them out.
The only thing that was disappointing when I got this figure is that of course he came with the cyber planet key, but it doesn't do anything. It would've been awesome if Starscream had a gimmick with the key to give him a power up, like having more weaponry, or upgraded parts when in vehicle mode
I've had mine for a couple days now and I just noticed there is no decepticon symbol anywhere on him. He is awesome but a faction symbol would have been nice
I just realised something:... So they've been saying "Armada Universe", "Energon Universe" and "Cybertron Universe". Implying that the Unicron Trilogy may not be connected, fixing all of the continuity errors between shows. I know that they are connected, but wouldn't it make more sense if they were separate?
I mean it would make more sense for Cybertron to not be connected as it starts the series completely ret conning energon and armada and energon picked up off from where armada ended so Cybertron could be considered a separate universe. I'll still call it Unicron Trilogy.
Technically they are seperate, but they worked them together so it'd boost sales if it was a trilogy. Both The Toy Armada With Arron Archer & The Transformers Slag Podcast youtube channels just covered the history on that very subject. Look up their vids on it if you want clearification from one of the original designers himself.
Not really, suddenly a show starts with a black hole with no explanation and when they do they said a dark god died some time ago without elaboration and somehow that black hole would end time in multiple universes if not all universes. Makes more sense putting them together than seperate. There’s smaller details that don’t line up which is to be expected but wider story it works pretty well (heck, putting them together one can say the minicon star saber sank the Atlantis star ship explaining why all the transformers inside became decepticons being pissed at humans and all that)
Am I the only one that, when doing the jet mode comparisons, wished Emgo went WHOOOOSH with the supreme class Starscream. He did it with all the others, it just would have been the cherry on the top.

This is one of those figures that, like Jihaxus, was clearly a labor of love for the designer.
Agreed. Despite his shortcomings, Jhiaxus is absolutely amazing for a voyager, and there have definitely been voyager class bots that weren’t as good.

Give them time. The rate they're going its only a matter of when instead of if they will. Heck they may find a way to sneak it in next years figures.

It’s simply he is packaged in box, but you could also it to make him look less like he has an alt mode

Awesome review, I had trouble transforming mine, so was able to follow. And I’d never have worked out the gun storage trick in alt mode.

Just got my screamer and shard in today, both are fantastic! Starscream is a wonderful update, and Shard is just plain awesome.
