It puzzles me why some Dears take it upon themselves to decide that there are right versions and wrong versions!!! Are they then saying that in the wrong version Dimash doesn't sing well!!! There are NO wrong versions, they are all brilliant. They are different each time and absolutely fantastic. Hello. I don't think anyone thinks that Dimash sings badly in another version. Or that it's wrong. He can't sing badly at all. It's just that many people, including me, think that the Gakku version is more interesting. Because here Dimash is relaxed, in his element, and can afford what he could not at the competition.

Great reaction. I feel first-time reactions are highly over-rated. There are times when first-time reactions are interesting. But I am a firm believer that when a reactor reacts to a song they love it is a beautiful thing and that love radiates through the screen like no other reaction can. Just like this reaction.

This festival is arranged every autumn in honor of Almaty. 90,000 people attended the festival in 2016, the year Dimash participated - in 2017 - it was 150,000 and it was 200,000 in 2018. Dimash's welcoming consert, sponsored by Kazakhstan (or Astana, I'm not sure) took place in the summer and is the legendary Bastau concert. The record made by a male is one note over Dimash's. I don't understand people who say that the Singer version is the wrong one. In Singer he does things he doesn't here and vice versa. And that's true for all all the versions - he never repeats himself, and that's one of the reasons he is never boring. There is no such thing as a wrong version of this song, they are all different in many ways, but all are amazing and worth listening to.
I agree. I suspect people say “it’s the wrong one” because it isn’t the one with the D8. However, the D8 is not my reason for listening to Unforgettable Day. In fact, the D8 doesn’t add anything or detract at all from the melodic line. This is a lovely piece and - you’re right, Dimash never repeats himself. This makes every listen a new adventure and a different feeling.
That was his off the piano D8 with vibrato. The more intimate audience was actually 150,000 people. He has other songs of his own including Give Me Your Love as a tribute to 1 of his idols, Michael Jackson. He did one version in Moscow and a revamped version at his concert in New York last year. Same music but different dance choreography.
In my opinion there is no wrong version when it comes to Dimash , so feel free in my opinion to reaction to any version you want and better yet react to all versions :) , i love your reactions .

In one of his last interviews, he told us that he is working on a larger piece. Maybe a symphony? He is so hardworking (amazing). He is composing, recording an album, working with his doctorate, does his daily exercise (3 hours voice training plus sports), spend quality time with his family and friends, at the same time as he just finished working on a music video and the digital concert. And being that perfectionist we know he is... You can imagine how much time it takes.
I could easily do what he does. If I were him! 🙄 To say Dimash is a genius is a gross understatement. We are so lucky to be able to be here at this moment in space and time and able to bear witness to his genius and multiple gifts.

Recently Dimash' said this whistle was not planned. He just casually hit a note that is not on the piano and is only one note below the highest note ever sang from a male vocalist (World record).
One of the qualities of all great artists, men and - even the occasional woman! 🙄😉 is that they are not afraid to take risks and go where no one has gone before. Dimash knows how much we love him and realizes that wherever he goes we will willingly follow.
a lot of people can make those pitches but they don't apply for the record. I can do it and I've recorded whistles that high for 2 songs/demos already. Most famously, Nicola Sedda does these high notes, up to A9 on "The Call". There's also a couple of people recorded with spectrograms to be able to produce sounds at F10 or above (actually outside our hearing range). In my experience it's difficult, but not all that much, if you're not drinking alcohol, coffee or smoking, you should be able to learn it, I'd say it's like 7/10 difficulty. Nobody applies for these records though, my highest was an E9 and I never applied cause it's just...kinda pointless. There's practically no reason to have notes like that in songs other than to show you can do it.

Hi, Lukas, I have always enjoyed your several Dimash reactions. Please do more. I discovered Dimash only about 6 months ago, but I instantly became a Dear - Dimash fan. I have always listened to many different types of music, but no one, and I mean NO ONE, has ever given me goosebumps and chills every single time, like Dimash's voice does to me. I have a "need" to listen to his voice every single day. That's how powerful and magnetic his voice draws me to him. His voice brought comfort and joy back to my life and I don't even want to listen to anyone else now. I can have Dimash's songs on repeat and I am totally fine with that. That whistle tone he hit, at least several voice teachers/professionals even using sound meters to measure that tone he produced and it equaled to a D8, which is beyond the highest key of a piano. Dimash is truly an amazing artist and a very humble human being. He is also down to earth, kind, loving and respectful to everyone. He loves his family. Only love and respect for Dimash.

He's still human. On top of that certain shows/venues/circumstances requires lip synching out of their performers. It's unavoidable. Most time it's LIVE but there's some shows/venues/situations where it's unavoidable. And this goes for every performers.....100% of them.

Hello. I don't think anyone thinks that Dimash sings badly in another version. Or that it's wrong. He can't sing badly at all. It's just that many people, including me, think that the Gakku version is more interesting. Because here Dimash is relaxed, in his element, and can afford what he could not at the competition.

If you watch his New York concert you will see how amazingly he interacts with the audience
You got the atmosphere quite right! This was the largest concert by far, about 150.000 people, but yes - they were close, and the space was well lit, so he could see and touch them. He thrives in such close contact with the audience, you can see it is like he is singing for his own friends. This is why we all love this performance, not just the D8 he sung.

👉 This event was the 3rd Open Air Music Festival organized by Gakku TV on September 16, 2017 in Almaty, Kazakhstan - (2015 - 40,000 spectators, 2016 (1000 years of Almaty) - 90,000 spectators.
2017 - Dimash was announced and 150,000 came. A Kazakh Dear wrote, the city center was completely paralyzed because of the many people. The concert lasted 6 hours.
That also was the first gig and welcome back in Kazakhstan for Dimash, after 'The Singer 2017' in China. Dimash played 5 songs : 'My Star' ('Juldyzym'), 'Unforgettable Day' ('Umitilmas Kun'), 'Daididau', 'Give me Love' ('Makhabbat Ber Magan') and 'My Beauty' ('Körkemim').
🎵 Dimash composed “Unforgettable Day” as he was 19 ys. A Dear said, Dimash first sings an ultrasound 🤣, then he remembers that we humans can’t hear it and gifted us a D8. This is a world record. Nobody has ever sung this high note in a live performance (captured on video for eternity) 🌼🇩🇪

This festival is arranged every autumn in honor of Almaty. 90,000 people attended the festival in 2016, the year Dimash participated - in 2017 - it was 150,000 and it was 200,000 in 2018. Dimash's welcoming consert, sponsored by Kazakhstan (or Astana, I'm not sure) took place in the summer and is the legendary Bastau concert. The record made by a male is one note over Dimash's. I can't remember his name. Usually, when he includes the whistle, it is a G7

I don't understand people who say that the Singer version is the wrong one. In Singer he does things he doesn't here and vice versa. And that's true for all all the versions - he never repeats himself, and that's one of the reasons he is never boring. There is no such thing as a wrong version of this song, they are all different in many ways, but all are amazing and worth listening to.
I agree. I suspect people say “it’s the wrong one” because it isn’t the one with the D8. However, the D8 is not my reason for listening to Unforgettable Day. In fact, the D8 doesn’t add anything or detract at all from the melodic line. This is a lovely piece and - you’re right, Dimash never repeats himself. This makes every listen a new adventure and a different feeling.
BTW my favorite one is from the Singer.... But this one is good too. Each time its different. Dimash everytimes

That was his off the piano D8 with vibrato. The more intimate audience was actually 150,000 people. He has other songs of his own including Give Me Your Love as a tribute to 1 of his idols, Michael Jackson. He did one version in Moscow and a revamped version at his concert in New York last year. Same music but different dance choreography.

He has a masters degree in Musical Composition, and he is enrolled in a Doctorate program for his PHD in Musicology...

In one of his last interviews, he told us that he is working on a larger piece. Maybe a symphony? He is so hardworking (amazing). He is composing, recording an album, working with his doctorate, does his daily exercise (3 hours voice training plus sports), spend quality time with his family and friends, at the same time as he just finished working on a music video and the digital concert. And being that perfectionist we know he is... You can imagine how much time it takes.
I could easily do what he does. If I were him! 🙄
To say Dimash is a genius is a gross understatement. We are so lucky to be able to be here at this moment in space and time and able to bear witness to his genius and multiple gifts.

Yes indeed. In my youth I was so sad not growing up in the 60' so that I could experience the Beatles live. But nothing or no one can be compared with Dimash. In the future, the world can hear his music, watching videos, read about him, but that is not the same as to follow him now.
Recently Dimash' said this whistle was not planned. He just casually hit a note that is not on the piano and is only one note below the highest note ever sang from a male vocalist (World record).
One of the qualities of all great artists, men and - even the occasional woman! 🙄😉 is that they are not afraid to take risks and go where no one has gone before.
Dimash knows how much we love him and realizes that wherever he goes we will willingly follow.
a lot of people can make those pitches but they don't apply for the record. I can do it and I've recorded whistles that high for 2 songs/demos already. Most famously, Nicola Sedda does these high notes, up to A9 on "The Call". There's also a couple of people recorded with spectrograms to be able to produce sounds at F10 or above (actually outside our hearing range).
In my experience it's difficult, but not all that much, if you're not drinking alcohol, coffee or smoking, you should be able to learn it, I'd say it's like 7/10 difficulty. Nobody applies for these records though, my highest was an E9 and I never applied cause it's just...kinda pointless. There's practically no reason to have notes like that in songs other than to show you can do it.

Hi, Lukas, I have always enjoyed your several Dimash reactions. Please do more. I discovered Dimash only about 6 months ago, but I instantly became a Dear - Dimash fan. I have always listened to many different types of music, but no one, and I mean NO ONE, has ever given me goosebumps and chills every single time, like Dimash's voice does to me. I have a "need" to listen to his voice every single day. That's how powerful and magnetic his voice draws me to him. His voice brought comfort and joy back to my life and I don't even want to listen to anyone else now. I can have Dimash's songs on repeat and I am totally fine with that. That whistle tone he hit, at least several voice teachers/professionals even using sound meters to measure that tone he produced and it equaled to a D8, which is beyond the highest key of a piano. Dimash is truly an amazing artist and a very humble human being. He is also down to earth, kind, loving and respectful to everyone. He loves his family. Only love and respect for Dimash.

Dimash is the last person I’d feel would “lip sync” because he loves to sing everywhere! He breaks out in song & sounds great wherever he is! I feel his voice is so powerful, yet restful, thus calling every age of fans. He also sings with his heart & soul because he loves it & is so appreciative of his fans’ support! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
He's still human. On top of that certain shows/venues/circumstances requires lip synching out of their performers. It's unavoidable. Most time it's LIVE but there's some shows/venues/situations where it's unavoidable. And this goes for every performers.....100% of them.
Kathleen, he made some presentations for a Russian TV at the request of Igor Krutoy, all the performances there are not live. Ken Tamplin has a video where he shows it.

Personally, I expect him - no, strike that out- I actually yearn for him going off the beaten track. Because he simply can. And because he always wants to excel himself in what he's doing. Yes, it's a Dimash composition. Beautiful, but my favorite is his War and Peace. The lyrics were written by a Chinese poet as Dimash intended. Beautiful lyrics. The music is very interesting, Dimash used many unusual sounds that mimic war sounds, for example, the sound of the Morse code, missile explosions, series from a machine gun, sounds of military radios.
