- Baritone Ambrogio Maestri, who sings the title role in Robert Carsen's new production of Verdi's "Falstaff," prepares his Risotto Salsiccia e Funghi during the opera's Live in HD transmission, hosted by Renée Fleming, on December 14, 2013.
Lovely Ambrogio❤
I saw Falstaff in the cinema, super! Great fun! Renée Fleming says here the risotto recipe is on the Metropolitan Opera website- I tried to find it, but it is not there!
I love her dress!
Renée Is ubiquitous. A true businesswoman.
I found the risotto recipe on youtube! In italian with English subtitles.
Buon appetito! Risotto salsiccia e funghi

La joie de vivre!!
...Works? I'm sure he can speak enough English to get by but for the sake of the interview used his wife as his translator.
So he's been living in NY for a year or so and can't speak English at all? What does he do all day?
Shawn Davie as soon as the average american man will start speaking more than his language you will be allowed to complain :)
Ben detto, che cazzo, ben detto, Gospel truth :-D
Maestri is lazy and a big ignorant !!!
Do you speak italian?
One should ideally learn the language in the country in which they live, eh? I know some Italian and would love to be fluent. If I moved to Italy I would be speaking Italian pronto
I cannot believe Fleming doesn't speak italian. That's very disappointing for a singer of her size.
You are not very smart, eh?
She had been the most famous soprano in the US for years. He is a very famous and good Italian baritone. She is moderating a Met Oper broadcast to the AMERICAN public in theaters. There are no subtitles for this section because it's truly improvised in the intermission.
The word you mean, having not studied English well enough on your own accord, is "caliber."
Omg I hate that interviewr
