Phantom-Panzer is an action game that was published by Quelle. The game was originally released in Germany in 1983. Scenario
In Phantom-Panzer, the player takes control of an assault vehicle with the objective of defending their energy base located at the bottom of the screen from the attacking phantom tanks. The game is divided into three phases:
City Phase: The first phase takes place in a city that resembles a maze. The city's building walls offer relative protection to the player.
River Phase: The second phase involves enemy tanks crossing two bridges over a river. However, there's practically no cover in this phase.
Open Battle Phase: The third and final phase is an all-out battle with the phantom tanks aggressively charging in on the player's base with no obstacles to stop them.
How to Play?
The player can only shoot one bullet at a time and has to destroy 20 tanks in each stage. The player's bullets can cancel out enemy bullets if they collide. The player loses one life if they collide with one of the tanks or the enemy bullets. However, the game ends immediately if an enemy tank or shell hits the player's energy base. The goal is to survive as long as possible and keep the base intact. Phantom-Panzer is a test of the player's strategic thinking and reflexes, requiring them to navigate through different environments and defend their base from the relentless phantom tanks.
