So sweet! If I had your abilities to create such wondrous items.. I wouldn't purchase any manufactured store bought ornaments either. A decade without purchasing any ornaments.. wow.. I admire your discipline. Yours are so much better anyway.
Hello Laetitia and Clochette!! Awh, people in your area generally don't decorate? What a shame. Perhaps you'll inspire them. I would adore looking up to your balcony and seeing a decorated tree as I walked by. I'm certainly glad you do decorate with not one, but two trees, real trees!! And the scent of real real trees are heaven. So lovely, I miss having real trees. I live in an apt where, the 'no real trees' rules apply. But, just the same, you inspire me to take more care of my home, decirating etc. I'm so glad you have heirlooms to help bring your Christmas decorating to life. And the title of your grnadfather's clock is so special! Thank you for sharing all of it, and the gift ideas out of that book. I, too, would love and appreciate any of those ideas as gifts... a welcoming gift indeed. Your homemade decorations are so stunning too. Thank you so much, I am loving your mini series of Christmas!! * Wonder if I could could ever find a copy of that book? Gosh I wish we had books like yours here in USA.
Thank you Roksanna, I understand the convenience of not real trees, somtimes it's just easier but yes no reason not to decorate a nice appartment !thank you glad you apprreciate this series :) I'm sure you have similar books of good manners and correspondence you can find easily on ebay and old books shops online, I just don't know the english or american authors, but I'm sure they exist !
Your place is very beautifully decorated. The mantle clock is exquisite. Using music notes rolled up with a ribbon is an idea I will try this year at my place. May be your balcony will have a snowball effect, and next year more neighbors will decorate theirs. I love going for walks this time of the year and look at lights people have in their yards. When I first moved from Germany, I only was used to white lights and didn't like the colorful blinking lights. Now, I appreciate anyone making an effort to brighten the rainy cloudy time of the year here in Seattle. It's for us we put lights or decorations outside, but really it's for the people walking by. Oh, and I have been sending through Etsy, from a small bakery in the Midwest, delicious French macarons to friends and family for Christmas. Now its time for you to sit back with a pot of tea and enjoy all your hard work. Happy Holidays. ❤
Thank you Sabine! who knows there might eb some christmas resistants hiding here and there who will be more brave next year. I know what you mean, exactly !There is something about sharing some joy and beauty through the outside decors for others to enjoy, no matter if it's elegant, pretty or even not very good taste, at least there is an effort done to celebrate this special time, it's fun to appreciate the efforts those people have done to embellish their gardens ,their houses compared to those who do nothing as it's the case here. Enjoy your Christmas macarons !! I actually have a lot of work to complete but I will have fun editing my workshop in the decorated living room :) Happy Holidays too !
I especailly love your Christmas videos - you always inspire me . I stopped buying commercial decorations a few years ago and now only use the handmade ones . I love them the most.
Beautiful princess, you have done a wonderful job decorating your kingdom inside and out, it's so cheerful and festive 😊, thank you for sharing your Christmas decorations 😊, Happy Holidays from Texas USA 🇺🇸 🎄🕯🌲
I decorate my tree today. I don't have a real tree, my first cats loved it too much. So I have a fake tree for about 40 years and on the bottom branches I put some things cats cannot break. I remember the little Bambi-deer you have. Everybody had them in the '60. Your balcony tree looks very nice. And maybe some people will see it, you never know. Have a very good Christmastime.
That's nice! You have adapted to your companions and at least you have a tree, I've seen some people who can't even have a fake tree because of their cats ! Yes I imagine these bambis must have been very popular back then. it's true those who like christmas decor will notice it, even if they are rare over here. Thank you Marjan, you too !
What a joy to find you on TH-cam today! I have watched two videos so far and I am hooked. It Is the beginning of Summer here in the United States but I love Christmas and the decor that accompanies the season, so I had to watch this charming video of you decorating for Christmas. You have inspired me and now I need to check out your workshops. I feel like I found a treasure and I can't wait to watch all your videos. You are an inspiration!!! Many thanks for sharing your talents. Maggie, New York
Ahhhh…..I can almost smell the natural pine tree. It’s all so very delightful❣️ Those gingerbread people are so sweet. 💓 All of your decorations are beautiful and most inspiring. I feel fortunate that the younger members of my family appreciate the mysterious Christmas packages I send them. They know each box will contain something uncommonly handmade and fun. Even the adults enjoy the curiosity and unique surprises. It’s a good feeling. It’s great to be inspired this time of year with handmade treasures, tastes, fragrances and some Olde World traditions. Thanks for keeping that magic alive and sharing it with us. Wishing you a very merry Christmas season. 🌲💖🌲💖🌲💖
That's great that you are taking the time to do that each year for your family! I'm sure they are very grateful! Yes Ithink it's the only way we should experience Christmas away from shopping centers and supermarkets which ruin all the magic and beauty of this time of the year. Thank you Rozani! you too ! :)
Everything looks so lovely! Balcony looks beautiful, too! 🎄I so enjoy your taste in decorating. It’s ironic as I’ve never been one to be very whimsical when it comes to decor. I’ve always preferred elegant vintage French pieces. Yet, I love what you do! It’s whimsical AND elegant at the same time and so pretty! Your paper artistry is amazing! I’m always in awe at your creativity and talent. Love your videos! 💗💗
Joyous greetings Letitia. I am loving your decorations for this year, your home looks wonderful. I think the wreath looked fabulous too, that could be a good work shop for next christmas, wishing you a lovely creative week ahead. Im looking forwards to seeing the new class, love and joy to you xxx
Hello Deborah thank you I did this wreath pretty fast whit what I could found , but I think it turned out better than what I thought ! Thaak you! you too enjoy this beautiful week of December even if it's a busy one, I hope not too cold where you live here it's unfortunately getting warmer...
Enchante such a lovely video your Xmas tree decorations have me inspired I live in a small apartment I shall get my tree and decorations out I’m excited because of your delightful video I just adore the book of gift suggestions Merci 💖💖👌👌🌟
Thank you Brenda! I'm happy if it inspired you to decorate your own apartement. The one I was living before were 5 times smaller than this one and I still had a real christmas tree, but a tree even not real need to bring its magic in any home large or small :) yes the gifts suggestion were so much fun to read glad you like it , and but it makes me regret this time...Thank you for stopping by !
Beautiful and magical! Love love love. One of my cats steals my ornaments from the tree hiding them in his secret spot lol. Hugs to you and Clochette 😊
Mele Kaliimaka or Merry Christmas in Hawaiian ❣️❣️❣️Dear Laetitia you and your enchanting Christmas decor are adorable 🎄perhaps you will peak some of your neighbors curiosity with the darling balcony but what a delightful gift for passersby’s🍄🦔🎄🎅🏻🤶🏻🧚♀️🧝♂️🧝♀️Sincerely you are my inspirational Angel, thank you as always ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Thank you Mary Anne , I'm not sure a lot passengers notice it, but I know my close neighbours do :)That's aleady an encouragement! You are very sweet thank you ♥
QUESTION: Why do so many people decorate to the tips of the Xmas tree? The strongest part is nearest to the center of the tree. Plus, placing ornaments roughly 1/3 into the branch (from the tip) shows off the depth of the tree - creating visual layers from the center to _near_ the end. Try it - using varied sizes around and into the body of the tree. It will look great. I promise.
I think there is a big difference when you decorate a real tree or a fake tree,I don't see how I could use your technique on my real tree here, my decors are too big, I would have to distort all the branches and break them , and the strings are often too short to fo through all these branches ,I just do it that way because it's the only option possible with the shape and branches of this tree and the size weight, strings of my decors, though I have no doubt it can work on fake trees.
So sweet! If I had your abilities to create such wondrous items.. I wouldn't purchase any manufactured store bought ornaments either. A decade without purchasing any ornaments.. wow.. I admire your discipline. Yours are so much better anyway.
Thank you Melinda ! :)
