Oof! What a difficult job. Huge tooth!!! The mechanics of removal are so difficult and involve logistics. That was a great piece of work, doc! Bet the horse felt so much relief after that. I'd love to see a horse dental plaque cleaning. I should have been a vet. Love to watch these techniques and I feel so happy for the animal receiving medical care. Thanks for posting!
Wowee, that was a shocking amount of blood! I'm doubly shocked that there was somehow so much yet so little at the same time 😂 that truly is a huge tooth! What a strange shape, too!! Edit: What did you guys do after the removal of the tooth? In videos like these, I usually see the open orifice get washed out with water and then either have something packed down into the hole or skin sewn over top of it. Did you just leave it open afterwards, to come together and heal on its own?
I know this is an older video. After the tooth being pulled, will something be put in the space so feed and debri won't get in the socket? Just curious.

Very neat. I am a vet tech and specialize in extractions on dogs/cats. How common is it to have a root break? Or have an extraction at all?
