      i respect the fact that he said his emotion didnt effect his performance here and now he says the exact opposite. I also respect the fact that he thought jones was disrespectful for assuming he could outwrestle him, yet he then says he can beat and dominate everyone Jones has faced. Most importantly, however, I respect the fact that watching him cry gave me an erection

    DC is such a good guy, so polite , so earnest, a true hardworking and good man. he s an olympian who has represented america, and is a beloved teammate to other top fighters. To see him treated by the masses as the heel- to be booed, while jones is cheered is some strange shit. maybe because he s not as handsome or tall and good looking at jones, i don't know. i don't understand why people side with one person over another, but if u look at it- jones has done everything in his power to be a bad dude, while DC is the opposite. but nevertheless he is the heel in this- u gotta feel bad for someone like that.
    havent we all been in that position? where u do everything right and yet the world doesn't open up to u , while some douchebag with a smile passes u for that promotion, for the job, for that girl? ? i think people should take a closer look at DC- they'd see a true olympian and great ambassador for the sport. like jones too- but DC is worthy of some love.

    Much respect to Daniel Cormier. Before the fight he spoke on how he was goin to win and become the new champion. After his lose, he didn't say he felt cheated or that the fight was closer than it was scored. He did not complain. As a grown man, he simply accepted that he lost, gave John Jones hid due respect and plainly admitted that John Jones was the better fighter tonight.

    It's like DC himself said- a lot of people just love him because they hate Jon. I wrestled myself, and I find it impossible to not fall in love with the grit and humility DC exhibits. I almost shed tears myself during the post fight conference. However, people need to understand that he did talk up a big game before the fight, and Jon isn't exactly the bad guy that people seem to need all of the time. He also shows honor by saying he doesn't feel sorry for DC, because even DC would probably have it no other way.

    You know previous to this fight I didn't really like cormier so much. I felt he was jealous of Jon and very braggadocios. I'm more understanding of the competitive nature of the fight game and the psychology behind it.You must get inside of your opponents head, especially on that mental level. That being said I've gained volumes of respect for Daniel; in defeat he held his head,gave his victor all kinds of accolades and accepted his lose with dignity. He really humanized himself with honest commentary about the match. Daniel represented himself more than well on all levels in this mano-a-mano. Daniel I can promise you that your day is not far away, hold your head high in defeat because you fought the very best. Today was not meant to be... but tomorrow holds great promise for the soon champ in the U.F.C.

      Maybe it's because the league is called "The Ultimate Fighting Championship" and not "The Ultimate Well-Mannered Championship". I couldn't give half a fuck about what they do outside the octagon. I never paid for that shit, I paid to see MMA fighting, so how good they are at that is all that matters to me.
      Everything else can be manipulated, slandered, twisted, sugarcoated, biased, etc. The whole story is never completely put on the table, whether its good or bad. What is undeniable and fully on display is what happens in the octagon.
      This goes for any sport. I respect Jones as an athlete and MMA fighter. I don't know Jones the person. I respect Michael Jordan as an athlete and player, I don't know the person. I respect Floyd as an athlete and boxer, I don't know Floyd the person. He is one of the most talented fighters to ever touch the octagon (and one of the most physically gifted), but his personality is sinister and narcissistic. - I was *hoping* Cormier would win (but I knew he would lose). jokatech That's not even remotely true LOL. Every human can become ripped and DC needs to get serious about his strength and conditioning and more importantly, his DIET. What Mike said is spot on, DC needs to get his cardio in check and it would have been a different fight. Diet is very hard but if you take it seriously it will reward you. Train like these guys train and never put anything in your body other than chicken/turkey and vegetables and watch what happens.

He has a lot of body fat on him and he isn't that tall of a guy. He is one of my favourites for sure but I think he should take a couple months off and safely drop some body fat while working at fox. He could be one of the greatest middleweight champions.

      +Jian Guo DC was 185 lbs when he wrestled in college, but I don't think he can safely cut to 185 at his age. Or it would take him a very long time to do it safely and he would be well past his prime. He pretty much already is.
      It's a shame he didn't start competing in MMA sooner. At 185, I think he would be the GOAT.

    we all know Bones is a beast of a fighter, probably the best, Iv tried to hold my respect for him but the last 12 months he has continued to dissapoint me with his shitty ungracious attitude, seeing how two faced he is and him stooping to the levels he has in recent interviews just makes me dislike him, and im sure im not the only one who feels like that, it can take years to gain respect and only a second to lose it

    Daniel cormier is the best Man in all of mma not only the UFC, but all of MMA, he is not only a beast in the cage, but as a coach mentor a friend and also outside the cage as an announcer he is one of the better ones out there now at breaking down the moves being used in a fight so I have nothing but love and respect for Daniel Cormier...

    Jones can't beat DC without steroids

    • @lazmaroulis6686
      @lazmaroulis6686 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      John Mendoza he did twice, the amount found in his system could not have possibly affected his performances. It was scientifically proven. Jones is just an amazing talent, who also possesses freakish physical attributes. He's the better fighter, and that's no shot at DC, DC is amazing too but he's not at the same level as in my opinion the GOAT.

    • @MartinFire13
      @MartinFire13 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Laz Maroulis just because the amount found in his system didn’t affect his performance during the fight doesn’t mean he didn’t have an advantage, he probably had a lot more steroids during training which affects performance because you recover faster meaning you can train at a higher rate. It’s not always about how much you have in your blood on fight night.

    • @lazmaroulis6686
      @lazmaroulis6686 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Martin Bogush he passed beforehand and only didn't pass the night of. They concluded that the amount found in his system was so minuscule that he most likely didn't even know it was in his body at all. I see what you are trying to say, but you have no evidence to support that claim. All evidence points to him not cheating at all.

    • @sidable12
      @sidable12 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He already did in the first fight. The belt was taken away because of cocaine. That would rather negatively affect his performance. Which is why it wasn't a no contest.

    I don't like DC&I don't like watching his (generally) boring fights. He talks shit all the time and it gets old quick. He's annoying&low-key + passive-aggressive arrogant. He talks shit to Cain and Puke Rockhold's opponents - Weidman most recently - which comes off desperate&thirsty. He complains&whines too much - most recently filing a grievance to change refs for the upcoming fight b/c somehow Herb Dean "helped" JBJ hold him against the cage?? And knowing DC's proclivity for the art of lay&pray, I'd say that grievance is nothing short of the pot calling the kettle black. I'm not a JBJ fan, but I will be on the night of their fight.

  • @chingon711

    his biggest problem was he veered away from the original game plan of taking jones down and beating him with ground and pound...instead, he decided to stand up with a guy who has a HUGE reach advantage.

      You're acting like Cormier had a choice, how many times did you see him try to take jones down and he couldn't because Jone's takedown defense is amazing? So stop making it a thing about what cormier 'decided' or didn't 'decide'. Jones had control of this fight, not cormier. Jones decided where this fight went. Period.

    • @ksi8286

    • @xavierdaniels9023

      Oh he tried, but Jones successfully defended the take down numerous times, and even tried taking him down a few times during the fight, he's wrestling was just as good. It was no use to keep trying you know, so he had to trade with him, and he later came back to the take down, and slammed Jones, but Jones got right back up, it was a good one
