How Singapore is tackling land shortages

  • Singapore is called one of the “four Asian tigers” for a reason. After lagging behind other countries back in the 1960s, the country made the leap to become one of the most developed economies not only in Asia but throughout the world. Today, Singapore consistently enters the top ten world rankings of macro indicators and living standards. And the most amazing thing is that this was possible in a very small area. After all, Singapore is the twentieth country smallest country in the world in terms of area. Yes, you heard right. The total area of Singapore is 733 square kilometers. For comparison, this is three times less than Tokyo. And half the size of London. Not surprisingly, land in Singapore is the most valuable and expensive resource. So how is Singapore coping with the land shortage? And why does this lead to conflicts with neighbors?

If you look at google map, the city is mostly on the southern part. The northern part of the island has relatively less buildings, with the center of the island completely empty.

Also with neighbouring Malaysia not condemning Hamas as much, 1 of Singapore's ex-diplomats fretted in an newspaper op-ed that it might be a sign that Malaysia is becoming more condoning of terrorism, & he worried if one day terrorists would, say, be allowed to fire rockets from Malaysia at Singapore's public housing or at planes landing at Changi Airport

However, irrelevant this may be, reclaiming land and making it an equal right for daughters to inherit the same is a good solution for daughters who have been raised as equals of earth whose children will inherit the earth and boys who shall have been sky born would then have a right of title. The unnecessity of granting title should be seen as for land that did not exist and thus, as when it did, the manner of making sea to earth would entail the process of making a girl child equal to a boy child and thus, documentation in place of physical checks of residence. Singapore should reclaim land to bound up to the country’s EEZ to be sure no other country could encroach like China who is currently doing to its neighbors although with strong refusal!
Should this happens they’ll have enough toom for everything like to house people,
high rises, commercial complex, airports etc.
I honestly believe that Singapore can ultimately achieve this
although this is only a brainchild proposal since this country has a history of triumphant success from the days of the
then president Lee Kwan Yew up to this
    present time!
