yeah despite so much hate from the people I also really liked the game. Just felt the main character was more relatable, was imperfect, had gone through many deaths of his close ones, but had the perseverance to overcome it in his own way. Understood what freedom was and the price of it was sometimes too much. plus the interesting way of how they showed some reason to try and understand the templars better and their understanding of why structure is important in society.
I see no one pointing this out, but the final scene of George Washington is overlooked as hell. It’s genius to show him faintly smile, because it’s known that Washington never smiled. There is no true portrait of him smiling once, and it was recorded that he was never seen publicly smiling. But him seeing Connor turning the tide of the Revolution single handedly brought a sense of hope to the American people and made Washington smile for the first evident time.

The Assassin's Creed series has NOT gone down hill. There was definitely a slump a few years back, but Origins and Odyssey have massively revitalized the series. Odyssey is EASILY one of the best games in the series!
For better or worse, they just are not the same type of games any more. Origins and Odyssey have as much in common with Dynasty Warriors and Final Fantasy as they do the original, more realistic, Assassins Creed games.
Odyssey was the worst Assassin's Creed game ever made. Know why? Because it was nothing like an AC game. Felt like a completely different franchise with the some of the worst parkour mechanics ever. Seriously AC is pretty much dead now.
oK Just because the devs decided to go in a new direction doesn't mean Odyssey isn't an AC game. The series NEEDED to be changed up, it had become a meme how stale the series had become. Don't get me wrong, I loved the old style AC games, but, I also love the new ones. Change is good. (Also, Odyssey is the best selling AC game since III so AC dead? Nah.)

Just replayed this game in the remastered version. Great game still. Just still has that super long beginning. But it does build story. Finishing up all the side content now.

Haven’t seen any comments but I know I will find one saying, “AssAsSiNs CrEeD WaS BeTtEr BaCk iN tHe DaY” story wise they were certainly better but not gameplay wise. But the new ones still aren’t bad. The only bad games story wise were unity and syndicate. Everything else was great

Because cavalry will charge you and rout all your infantry if you're not bunched up and protect each others' flanks with bayonet muskets. And firearms did not shoot as frequently (slliiightly less accurate than modern guns but not as bad as ppl think, but they DID have far shorter effective ranges) to completely make cavalry useless yet. Also, infantry morale meant if u did not stand in stiff ranks, ppl are prone to rout and when they did, others will rout, and your entire unit will collapse.
Great trailer but I disagree with the patreon that suggested it, I'm enjoying the newest Assassin's Creed Game, Odyssey- it's a full blown RPG with a massive and gorgeous world. But a month back on PS4 and been playing none stop since then.
and that is why majority of ac fans dont like the new games, rpg is not something ac was if u wanted a good rpg game u went with witcher,dark souls,bloodborne etc

I loved that game. Starting off as a native American kid running through the trees growing up hunting and shit. Pretty fun.
