love the SD38's and SD40's. I see alot of these on local lines. Locomotives are seen from many different companies. CSX and BNSF are the main movers, but I have seen UP, NS and Santa Fe engines hooked up with main roads. Lately have seen alot of AC44CW units, usually in lead. Thanks for the video.
I'm in Indiana and it's pretty flat around here but, we can still hear those diesels thumping all over the place! (!!!!) My parents and I were watching some old steam train videos and they remarked they wouldn't be able to get a minute of sleep with all those steam trains whistles because the diesel horns are noisy enough every 20 to 30 minutes through the night! I live several miles away from any railroad tracks and I can still hear those diesels purring. I'm going to hate it when (if) batteries take over! Maybe the sound of those electric motors will be noisy enough.
Why do people constantly film at grade crossings ! The damn horn drowns out the sound of the E645 prime mover and ruins the video!! A message for everyone ! If you know SD40’s are coming up the rail get the hell away from a grade crossing. The horn ruins it every time!!!!! This coulda been epic !
They film at grade crossings because they're convenient access points to the track. In many areas, there aren't many locations where you can get that close to the track without trespassing.
Love the sound of a train engine when it is in a hard pull
Good to see the SD40-2’s still plying the mainlines on Class I’s.
what exquisite sounds bro 🔥I'm from Chile and the EMD SDL-39 locomotives sound very similar

enjoy all the videos .
Those sound like the old Conrail engines back in the day. I wouldn't be surprised if Thats an ex Conrail unit, as CSX did get some with the split.
However that lead unit looks like an ex seaboard one.
@@xDiamondzx CSX 8066 is former seaboard coast line, delivered August of 1979.

Totally agreed!
Me too!!! You dont wanna drown out that hair curlin sound!
Rob Cicero---- You Sir, you are spot on and 100% correct! Why they film at grade crossings with the horn blaring is beyond me.
Took the words out of my mouth!
