I think Alabama gets to approach this game with fresh eyes, because the coaching staff is new to this match up and isn't as jaded as the previous staff. While they take into account the severity of the match up they aren't afraid and are tackling this game as they would any other match up. Watching film and learning and not allowing the BS or past successes and failures to get in the way. I really dig it and I hope to watch an amazing game next week.

Gene Stallings won a national championship and 2 SEC championships at Alabama in the 1990s by being a 1970s Bear Bryant clone. Jim Tressel emulated a lot of Woody Hayes at Ohio State in the 2000s winning the 2002 BCS Championship and several Big Ten titles. Urban Meyer bent over backwards trying to emulate Steve Spurrier and it got him 2 national championships, 2 SEC titles, and a Heisman trophy winner at Florida from 2006-2010.
