i just started playing fighting games recently and started playing axl just because he looks really cool, i hope ill be able to remember the tips here when in combat!!
I like throwing in his tornado when it comes to cautious players, because 4 times out of 5 they’ll be so distracted by it that I can either throw and overhead or a low blow and they never see it coming, it’s also a great mixup for guarding from air assaults as most people don’t realise it sucks them in and throws their timings off
Recently moved to Axl from Bridget, your guides are amazing! I hit Celestial with him recently. Love your videos! I still know so little about playing him but I can feel the improvement every day and can't wait to learn more :D Thank you!!
the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Axl is that one 1600+ level Axl I fought once that stood on the other side of the screen and used Sickle Flash only the moment they stopped I kicked their ass, so in conclusion they were a Sickle Flash main and not an Axl main
Hey I “recently” picked up Axl and been watching your videos here for a while (played him for fun for a month but only now wanna main him) and found myself pretty clueless on how to approach certain matchups, I know this may sound like a monumental task and is probably a video fit for a last patch Strive but are you down to make a video on how Axl should tackle each character in the game Doesn’t have be a binary, “do this or you’re bad” but just a suggestion Love your stuff, keep at it
Mostly, a few small adjustments just with rainwater combos but they are still good starter combos (there are much better ones once you get more used to the character)
If they block your antiairs, you can decide if you want to airthrow them (riskier) or continue antiairing them to drag them onto the ground and slowly push them into the corner.
It's actually harder to hit than 2S because the angle is very specific. It's a really important AA and the reward can be big, but it's more MU dependent and for specific air approaches.
@@remiceleste3034ah I see. I think I just lack patience and try to hit my opponents as soon as they jump off the ground xd. That's why it's harder for me to hit with 2s. Thanks for the help!

And what about 6k? It's much more forgiving and easy to hit than 2s but I'm guessing it lacks combo potential or sumthing?

Do you not use forward kick as anti air
You do but it's more situational and is usually used to anti-air someone baiting 5P or 2S
