Sir I have a question. What if the falciparum parasite is still present in the blood after the completion of artisunate injection course? Is it normal? Will it not cause any harm?
Likely you would have already picked this up before it reaches the 7 days as you do daily blood slides, however in this case it may be likely you are either under-dosing the patient, or the parasite is resistant in which case an alternative like quinine can be used.

@@DrMK7 okay! This means we cannot say the patient has reverted to normal until the blood tests show no presence of the parasite.
