You should spread your power-up money out a bit more instead of chucking everything in might and magnet. Having rank 1 of every thing way better at lest get rank 1 of recovery for the regen, so you not reliant on finding chickens.
Also you really need to unlock some more stuff in the unlock menu as you really need them to get anywhere. I recommend you play as the knife dude and survive for 5 minutes it unlocks the Pummarola which is a really good item that evolves the garlic.
