There two stages to bananas…….. green and ripe.
We Tend to peel and eat the bananas are ripe (yellow)
The ones with the green skin are peeled and put in boiling water along with your other food items such as dumplings, yams etc
We don’t eat the ones with the green skin raw.
Well I’ve never tried it so yak 😅

It is plantain fried which is from the banana family. Banana can be eaten ripe and the green ones can be eaten boiled. Banana is a good source of fiber. The green one when boiled is a good source of iron
