    My daughter is 3.7 old she can read count to 100 and know all the colors and shapes but only say few words like mommy daddy open eat. Most time no response when any body call her name Sometimes I believe the way she is learning to talk is repeating most the word after she hear it. But today in this video I heard very powerful words. “Whether it is autism or not the chances on your side”. So all I can say is do your best with you love one and result you will see. What ever people say just ignore it you are the one with your cutest little baby all the time.

    As a boy I didn't start to really speak until between 4-5. But well before talking, I love music and could clearly sing. Parents took me to a doctor connected to Harvard. He told my mom I was "normal", intelligent , and would start talking when I had something to say. Going through puberty, adults often committed in my "beautiful" deep voice. Funny because I was scrawny and very boyish looking. I still love music and singing more than talking

    The video was very informative and clarified most of the fears that young parents have in this generation. Children may not be responding to their names but good at signing and responding, dancing , when you sing those rhymes with action, we can make our own songs to just teach him what name he/ she is called by. Hope this approach is fine

    • @AgentsofSpeech
      @AgentsofSpeech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That approach is fine, but the most important thing is to have something that your child wants and teach him/her to communicate the need.

    Hello Ming..I am literally relieved after watching this video because.. My kid is 2.9 months now.. He says abcd recognize them too, tells 5 to 6 colors, recognize animals, knows how tiger makes a sound, asks for food ,water, juice and whatever he likes.. Uses 2 phrase sentence, like want water.. Understands instructions like sit properly, fold your legs, knows facial parts eye nose etc, understands he needs to wear shoes while going outside.. Brings shoes to us so that we can help him wear shoes.. Only thing is he doesn't socialise with anyone except 3 4 people.. Don't play with other kids.. Just want to play alone.. I have already reduced his screen time but i will make I reduce it further and also will engage myself with him atmost so that qhe tries to speak more.. Any more activities you can suggest please?

    So I put my toddler in school at the age of three hoping it would help her with her speech since she was nonverbal. Soon after she started I asked for speech therapy which turned into a autism diagnosis. She will be four years old in less than one month and still does not speak at all. However four days ago she started counting to five this is some thing I have been doing with her for over a year and she all of a sudden just started counting all the way to five. She still does not speak she does not say hello goodbye mom dad or anything.

So I appreciate this very much it gives me direction and more knowledge. This explains to me when he player with duplex but he starts naming planets on his own (his favorite thing to watch is planets) but when we play together we name the colors of the duplex and I see the difference. I will definitely be limiting his screen time. Thank you so much.

    Hello:) Thank you for the video! My son is almost 22 months old and is being evaluated for ASD in the next few months. He has been receiving early intervention for several months now. This is what my son does but he also struggles to sign/gesture and imitate. He does have about 50 words but he just labels things for the most part. His screen time is limited but loves music and we think he is musically inclined. In your experience do children who tend to sing but not talk eventually communicate verbally or do they need some type of communication device? I know every child is different but was wondering what you have noticed. Thank you:)

    • @AgentsofSpeech
      @AgentsofSpeech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      at 22 months if he's speaks and uses 50 words, that's not bad at all actually already. The main focus is to get him to use gestures to COMMUNICATE. That would be the first step and you'll see progress.

    Sometimes you speak so many things at once so I dont understand what you're trying to say.

      If a child is 4yrs and the parents thought they will speak when they're ready cause they know how to count , know alphabet and shapes but don't communicate and cry when frustrated, is it Autism or speech delayed? The child knows all these things from repeatedly seeing it on TV since born but also seems like a genius cause he can slowly read and count high numbers and no one taught him math like that even though he doesn't talk.

      Start therapy right away whether the parents teach or a therapist. You don't need to pinpoint if it's speech and language delay or ASD. Start teaching communication and how to interact.
