This deck is gorgeous! I'm definitely adding this one to my animal decks collection. I have alway been irrationally scared of turtles, but as soon as I saw the Fool card, with the baby turtle hatching, I felt so much love and tenderness I was actually surprised of what this card moved inside of me. The immediate connection I had with this deck from the start was heartwarming.
I have the independent release, I bought the 2nd edition with the red foil edges. I love it and it's a gorgeous deck. I do love this edition as well, I love these deck backs and the fact the guidebook is in colour, as the original book release is not in colour. I love animals so this was a must have ❤️
Rock Bottom was the name of the Spongebob episode. One of my favorites. Beautiful deck. The three of swords and 10 are two cards I always like to check. I saw a flip through of another I was really considering until I saw an impaled swan which was quite triggering for me. I’m happy when the artist can design those cards with a much less gruesome theme. And the starfish can regenerate, so a nice choice for the Ten. I’m adding this deck to my wishlist.
I bought this deck and have not been completely happy with the deck. The two things that stood out for me was that the art was very dark. Your deck looks lighter like the outlines/details have much more contrast than what mine looks like. Bought it on Amazon and wonder if there are chances of bootleg copies of these things. The other issue I’ve had is the shuffling. I’m guessing that with time the deck will soften. I noticed my cards do not snap back at all. They would hold the bend when riffling. Please share any insight you may have. Are there such things as lemons with decks? Lol

So wanted this as an indie deck, but couldn't justify the expense. The mass market version has been on my wishlist for so long, but I was worried about the quality... having seen your video I think I might well go for it! Thank you 😊 🙏

I already had/have it on my xmas wish list for hubby because I knew about the independent one and couldn't afford it so as soon as I saw it was coming to mass market edition, it immediately went onto my wish list! lol! Now I cant wait for xmas to get here and to find out if he bought it for me! lol! I have the Spiritsong Tarot and Dreams of Gaia decks currently and even as a beginner am a huge fan of working with dual deck spreads and differently sized cards, I asked my sister to buy this one for me for Christmas (it’s literally in the loungeroom right now 😭) as I felt the art style and animal symbolism would pair perfectly with both my other decks, especially the Spiritsong deck as they are both fully animals but one is light and bright and the other is super dark! I can’t wait to get to play around with it and add it into my working rotation of decks because the artwork alone is STUNNING 😍 seeing that in depth guidebook makes me so happy too! My Dreams of Gaia book is SO underwhelming for information especially as it follows its own card structure (25 major/56 minor) and uses elements as suits BUT the cards are stunning and I can read it quite intuitively even as I’m new to this! I really wish the author had made a better book to go with it though 😭 Anyway, I can’t wait to play with Oreins Animal Tarot I feel like I’m going to connect with the cards a lot 😍
i love this version of the deck, but i honestly prefer the original design fpr the back of the cards and the box and i kinda miss the maroon edges? im probably going to still get this deck, but there are just little things i wish they didnt change

The only card I don't like is the Six Of Swords---doesn't look as beautiful to me and the choice of artwork makes no sense. I'm sure the book will explain, though! So, it's all good. 🤗🤗🤗 I am not a beginner Tarot Reader. Been doing it for years, but stopped for a while due to my Mother's lies. It angered me so. Now, I'm sort of getting back into the groove. Anyhow, gorgeous deck and I am exited to play with it! 🤗🤗🤗💜💜💜
I love this deck! I recently ordered 2 of the new Rockpool Editions, one for a gift and one for me. I did have quality issues: the box was plastic wrapped, so it looked fine but inside the deck hadn't been cut well. The edges were ruined / bent and 1 card was bent across the narrow width of the card... which was weird! So I've reached out to see if I can get a replacement set sent to me because it was pretty disappointing. The art is lovely and I like the connections made between the animals and the themes and the full colour guidebook.
I have an update: so the reatailer I bought my Oriens Tarot decks from wouldn't give me a replacement for the defective deck, but I reached out to Rockpool Publishing directly and they replied straight away (which blew me away) saying that sometimes there are a few quality issues that slip through, but they are going to send me out a replacement directly.
I remember rainbow art so vividly 😂 Does each card have foiling, or is it each design just outlined? It looks like the designs should have gold foiling!
Looks like they lightened and brightened it up for mass market compared to the indy version I own. A beautiful deck. With an Australian artist there are a few animals unfamiliar to the rest of the world but her book describes them well. Thanks! 💖
I love this so much! I cannot wait to get my copy! So happy that it's matte cardstock. I don't think I have any Rockpool decks that are matte, so that's exciting!

I think sometimes mass market can be printed better than indie or Kickstarter
