As a Genshin Player whose favourite character is Tighnari, I'm shocked, disgusted and dissapointed that his VA would do something like this. This is surprising and devastating news that he still continues to do this. I gave him a benefit of a doubt that he really was sincere with the apology and actually hoped for the best for him by not becoming a VA and having platform in any VA community. Now I take it all back, the man needs to serve his time in prison. Here's the downside, I don't think he's going to prison if no one especially the victims if they're going to press charges on him. However, I would see that happening if either the victims actually push forward to press charges on him OR the mods who exposed him receive the victim's permission to press charges on him.

It's a real shame that all of entertainment has been infiltrated by people like this; and as grateful as I am that these people are being called out, what action is gonna be taken to prevent it from continuing?
Happens to anything where people have power over others. It's not like people who are Christian are more likely to be child predators, it's that priests have easy access to children and trust, so these people look for those types of job opportunity's or other things where this is more easily possible. All we can do is teach kids what is and isn't normal and this shouldn't be as taboo of a subject for kids to learn about as I think it would help less kids get abused.
It's more prominent in either communities that attract kids or communities that contain child looking or child characters. They're just drawn to children and sadly it's incredibly hard to stop besides heavily monitoring people or simply not allowing any contact with fans to avoid the situation entirely.

One thing that helps me cope with trauma/pain, is to understand the abusers tactics, how they think, the signs, to use the knowledge to help/defend myself or others who end up in similar situation. Knowledge helps me feel more safe since I know what to look for. I've got a extremely good instinct now on who to stay away from so I have been able to stay away from bad people. Your videos spreads awareness, and explains the monsters tactics. Helping people to see the signs. And the more people who talk about him, the more people will be saved when they know what kind of monster he is. Thank you so much for sharing this knowlege and support for victims! It means a lot! Our brains tends to focus on the negative. This is especially true for me with adhd/autism. It will hyperfocus. So one things that helps me, is to repeat to myself "i am thriving" to trick my brain. Im a Genshin player but I never really cared about the UwU so scrunkly so quirky voice actors of the english dub. A friend of mine really likes them though, and sent me a stream once. She was particularly fond of Elliot's streams since she loves Tighnari, so I said why not, and joined the stream to watch along. From the moment I saw that hairline, I thought Elliot was gonna do something.
While I never watched his stream (or anyone elses' for that matter), you just have this weird gut feeling when something isn't right. A lot of the other cast members even made comments on how he was particularly rude or arrogant in streams. He made himself out to be a bigshot when he started out as a literal nobody. It's such a relief knowing he's gone. The last time we'll ever have to put up with his voice acting is in update 3.5 that's coming up next. They had everything pre-recorded and couldn't do anything about it.

im pretty sure that snapchat holds your messages for longer than from when you can no longer access them. in that case, only a law enforcement request can get those messages

As someone who has been groomed and threatened, I feel the victims. There was this one time a 20 year old tried to get me in a relationship with him when I was just 13 years old. I was pretty naive at the time and couldn't see what was really wrong. Until things got pretty sexual and serious. When I told him I was uncomfortable, he said he'll k!ll himself if I didn't do what he tells me to. Fortunately I didn't send him anything sexual, but in the end he said he won't settle until he married me. Anyway I told my parents and they reported him right away. But I have to say, psychological manipulation can really f up your mind.

I had a similar situation happen to me on kik. I was 16 and had a older guy confess to me then threaten to delete himself if I, a straight male, didn't go out with him. I panicked and said sure even though thinking we weren't together. Barely talked to him afterwards to the point I lost his contact. Now am at the point if this were to happen again I'd tell them to go ahead or block them at the spot.
The fact this is still going makes me wonder if drugs and/or alcohol are involved. Even if they are playing a part he still deserves to get locked up. But makes you wonder.

I watched his vod stream once just a week prior before these documents were out and there was a lingering feeling that basically says: "I don't like this guy" Despite the fact that I liked the way he voiced the character in the game. But it didn't deter me when I saw the document exposing this trash of a human being. I gave him a benefit of a doubt that he really was sincere with the apology and actually hoped for the best for him by not becoming a VA and having platform in any VA community. Now I take it all back, the man needs to serve his time in prison.
Here's the downside, I don't think he's going to prison if no one especially the victims if they're going to press charges on him.
However, I would see that happening if either the victims actually push forward to press charges on him OR the mods who exposed him receive the victim's permission to press charges on him.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how much of an amazing person omni is? Most would keep the video monetized so they can make some money, but omni doesnt, that says a lot about him. And of course, elliot needs to be behind bars. Those poor kids will hopefully be able to heal from the trauma, as well as move on with their lives without anything like this happening again.

It's a real shame that all of entertainment has been infiltrated by people like this; and as grateful as I am that these people are being called out, what action is gonna be taken to prevent it from continuing?
Happens to anything where people have power over others. It's not like people who are Christian are more likely to be child predators, it's that priests have easy access to children and trust, so these people look for those types of job opportunity's or other things where this is more easily possible. All we can do is teach kids what is and isn't normal and this shouldn't be as taboo of a subject for kids to learn about as I think it would help less kids get abused.
It's more prominent in either communities that attract kids or communities that contain child looking or child characters. They're just drawn to children and sadly it's incredibly hard to stop besides heavily monitoring people or simply not allowing any contact with fans to avoid the situation entirely.

For me personally, As victim of abuse who struggles with PTSD. One thing that helps me cope with trauma/pain, is to understand the abusers tactics, how they think, the signs, to use the knowledge to help/defend myself or others who end up in similar situation. Knowledge helps me feel more safe since I know what to look for. I've got a extremely good instinct now on who to stay away from so I have been able to stay away from bad people.
Your videos spreads awareness, and explains the monsters tactics. Helping people to see the signs.
And the more people who talk about him, the more people will be saved when they know what kind of monster he is.

Our brains tends to focus on the negative. This is especially true for me with adhd/autism. It will hyperfocus. So one things that helps me, is to repeat to myself "i am thriving" to trick my brain. It helps to focus on something helps or minimize the pain. It helps me relax more.
Hes also been trying to persuade people to relapse in SH, like actually asking them to do it. For him. Saying "just once, it won't count". just thought I'd add

Im a Genshin player but I never really cared about the UwU so scrunkly so quirky voice actors of the english dub. A friend of mine really likes them though, and sent me a stream once. She was particularly fond of Elliot's streams since she loves Tighnari, so I said why not, and joined the stream to watch along. From the moment I saw that hairline, I thought Elliot was gonna do something.

While I never watched his stream (or anyone elses' for that matter), you just have this weird gut feeling when something isn't right. A lot of the other cast members even made comments on how he was particularly rude or arrogant in streams. He made himself out to be a bigshot when he started out as a literal nobody.
It's such a relief knowing he's gone. The last time we'll ever have to put up with his voice acting is in update 3.5 that's coming up next. They had everything pre-recorded and couldn't do anything about it.

I didn't know enough about the situation to put any judgment in the hat, but now that I am more aware I am appalled disgusted and have 2nd hand embarrassment because as an aspiring professional VA this feels like a slap in the face to the VA community. As someone who has been groomed and threatened, I feel the victims. There was this one time a 20 year old tried to get me in a relationship with him when I was just 13 years old. I was pretty naive at the time and couldn't see what was really wrong. Until things got pretty sexual and serious. When I told him I was uncomfortable, he said he'll k!ll himself if I didn't do what he tells me to. Fortunately I didn't send him anything sexual, but in the end he said he won't settle until he married me. Anyway I told my parents and they reported him right away.
But I have to say, psychological manipulation can really f up your mind.

I had a similar situation happen to me on kik. I was 16 and had a older guy confess to me then threaten to delete himself if I, a straight male, didn't go out with him. I panicked and said sure even though thinking we weren't together. Barely talked to him afterwards to the point I lost his contact. Now am at the point if this were to happen again I'd tell them to go ahead or block them at the spot.
The fact this is still going makes me wonder if drugs and/or alcohol are involved. Even if they are playing a part he still deserves to get locked up. But makes you wonder.

this entire case was disgusting. The amount of people that made jokes about this case disregarding the victims and people that were greatly hurt by this. I appreciate how the other voice actors spread awareness on about this. But it truly upsets me how victims cannot call the police on him, since theyre all mostly underage and need the approval of parents to report him to the police, and in these situations these are minors, telling their parents could go so wrong because ive seen victims that werent even supported by their own parents and they simply did not care at all. I hope theyre all safe and that he can go to jail once and for all, like he deserves.

This situation with Elliot is absolutely disgusting to hear about. I am personally not in the Genshin community. However, he does voice the male members of Team Yell in the Pokémon Sword and Shield anime, and that is an absolutely horrible look for that community as well.
