I still hate him from his other dramas. Hate looking at him and if i saw him in the streets I’d have a hissy fit. This shows he’s a great actor. I would hate to be his real life wife or girlfriend.
I've seen this guy play the cheating husband and/or boyfriend in like 20 different TV shows and a few movies. I just think he has accepted the fact that he has been permanently type-cast for this role by Chinese Media. I've only ever seen him play the good guy in one show and by the last 3 episodes he turns into a super villain, steals his female friends company by making her sign over her right unknowingly.. He then illegally sells the company to a bigger company, takes his cut of the stolen profit, buys a new suit and flowers and tries to propose to the female friends(who company he stole) best friend who then rejects and slaps him and then calls the police and sends him to prison for fraud.. LOL.
What is sad about this drama that serves a lesson for all men and women who cheat on their marriage is to appreciate the little thing that makes your family happy . Lofty ambition without respect and humility for people who made you become who you are is tantamount to failure , heartaches and disappointment . Marriage is sacred . Never abuse it , because never a drop of innocent tears is hidden before the all time Judge.
The message from this drama is women need career more than marrige. A woman should keep her career even after marrige because love never last, people change.
In Asia , women don't get much respect form their husband and his family if they doesn't a job or career, once their husband cheated, their wold will fall apart....
Finally, the writer put woman ,smart and powerful against of the abuse and sheeting, and the mistress available to recognize her mistake and standing for her.

Honestly in this whole story the only innocent and victim is the first wife and her daughter because even her the woman who became her friend isn't innocent she used her seduction to become his mistress and like you said they both got what they wanted it's just she didn't think that he was going to put all the blame on her for the company but if he would have left his wife oh she would have been happy and she wouldn't have cared about anything else about the wife's pain and the other one she should have realized when she's out there pregnant shopping by herself that he is not the man that she thought and she didn't care either she was there screwing him knowing he was married and knowing that he was keeping the child's away from the woman. I just find it funny how he signed a prenup and he gave away everything if they would get divorced and yet her family was smart to put nothing in her name so he couldn't get half of anything so now she's going to be a single mom and the family was so happy because they had their grandson finally forgetting about their granddaughter
Everyone got their own karma. The wife forgave the 1st mistress as she got f**ked over by the hubby too. It was more of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. At the end they because besties. Sometimes life is strange. The end that the new wife had wished on the ex wife came true but for herself. The ex wife found love again and happiness. It's ironic how it was with a former bf from before her ex hubby. The daughter has a new loving step daddy that will gladly love and accept her in his life. The new wife/legal mistress will now become a single mother with an affair baby. After all the legal transactions and court dealings she'll literally be left with nothing. She'll have to support her and her son on her own. The ex hubby will be in prison for quite awhile remembering bittersweet memories and his bad decisions. Karma will take it's pound of flesh whenever and wherever.

This drama is 16 eps too long. IMO, this ended up to be a love story between wife and 1st mistress, they had more screen time together than anyone else. For a FL that is supposed to be tech savvy, she didn't use any skills to get info on scumbag husband. Oh well, same old, different actors.

Her karma might not of been what we the viewers wanted, but she did get some in the end. Everyone knows she was a third party ( only the wife knew at the time she wasn’t stealing squat), her husband never really loved her ( she figured that out when he called out ex wife’s name and pushed this idiot away), the two women who tried to warn her saw her at her lowest on the street, she was physically abused ( which she should have seen coming), gave birth alone, and was still married to the slime ball when he was arrested so she’ll always have that stigma attached to her and her prominent family, and now just like the ex she’s forever tied to him due to the child. So she got karma even if it wasn’t being stoned to death ( which I would of liked to have seen...lol).
