- Africa's Next Top Model is a reality television show in which a number of women compete for the title of Africa's Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The show is hosted by supermodel Oluchi, and features aspiring models from a wide variety of countries all over the African continent.
They should have told them about the 5'7 rule before they even showed up😟 it seemed so cruel

@@teddyrella7040 i think there was a shortage of girls who came forward, let us be honest it is Africa and a lot of people do not have the sources to travel yet alone be aware of the show. i think they lowered the height to have more options
For runway model it’s been like that for years and years and years so they don’t think about telling them that because it’s like that for a runway model of high fashion modeling that’s what is Molly was about on the show I am I knew that before the showing premiered unless you want to model as a petite model

Literally, same. I started with AsNTM Season 6 and now I watched all of those. Check Australia's (the best NTM overall behind Asia's) and Supermodel Me (Is Asia's Next Top Model with other naming), if you did not check those previosly in this two years. :p

i didn't, it's a professional modeling competition and it's common knowledge that 5'7 is the minimal height requirement for high fashion which is what they are looking for; also no one else was crying and it was clear they all had a dream to be models.

this was shot a couple of years ago and the moment I saw Aamito, I knew she was the one to beat. She just had the look of a fashion model.
I'm sure it was very expensive to travel for that in Africa. Why didn't they tell them they had to be giraffes? Most people know that.

Im a vegetarian. Honestly i think it's irrelevant to tear down anyone for what they eat. If they are interested or confused and just want to understand then i get it but i hate that "plants have lives too" agrument. If i dont want to eat meat i dont want to eat meat. If i dont harass you for it you shouldnt do the same to me. its that simple

I think, especially African people and Asian people are really cruel towards animals and do not really understand what animal rights even should be or why are they so important. It s like these people would life 70years in the past with theire thought about animal Treatment and food production. Just hear the "Arguments" from the girls in the show. I know, it sounds like I am a rasist, but that s just my personal experiences with people from Africa, Asia and North Africa.
This feels more superficial than Asia's and America's. When the host said that she didn't see a single beautiful woman in the group when it came to the South African women that was freakin hateful. And then the comment about them wanting diversity? Half of them looked like her she's so full of herself

I don't know if it's there accents or the words they use both these are the best mannered contestants I have ever seen. I really hope they don't change throughout the season. I mean, even that "fight" over her being vegetarian was cute.
I'm also vegetarian for the exact same reasons as her. People at school ask me why and never know how to answer them it's like me asking why do you have hair on your head.
Gosh these women are strikingly beautiful. I wish Americas NTM would stop trying to find "unique, strange" looking girls and go back to striking beauty.
But that is just falling back to the old stereotype, so boring! There is beauty in "unique and strange" but you have the brainwashed version of beauty burned in your mind. Open up to the diversity of beauty in all women and men.
In spite of that, Oluchi, the host, kept using materialistic standards to judge them. It's a miracle that the models they picked turned out like that.
Sometimes the weird and strange is the most marketable in the fashion industry, depends on the brand. Some more commercial brands will always go for the conventionally pretty girls while the higher end will want someone with an interesting and unique looks cause it's unusual but probably most cause it's unattainable.
The whole point of getting these unique looking people is because that kind of beauty is out of the ordinary. Beauty is everywhere but the unique ones are rare and a high selling point for designers

They had rules and it seems they really selected contestant with top model potencial unlike ANTM that they choose based on personality. That's why the winer of African's next top model is very successful and not fading into the background like almost every winner of American's Next top model
