Jesus Christ you need an ashtray. LOL
With my 877MAX keypad, mine will work multiple codes. You just have to set up each code as a new "door." I'm half tempted to go outside and set up a second receiver to try this. You know what, I will...

yeah, but how many "doors" can it have? The other one just lets me put in a code and hit enter. If there's a way to make the MAX type keypads do that, then that would be great.

I just commented there. Thanks for the extra info, but the MAX looks like it's just more hassle than it's worth to make it work right. I'll go tinker with it tho and see what happens.

John Vertoli HEEEY JOHN! Good to hear from you! It's alright, we've been busy here too. I have 3 more days of door installs this week, so I feel ya.
I'm working on getting to a point where I can do more videos, but it's taking me longer than I'd like it to. Although, I was supposed to have this all sorted out last fall. Oops. LOL!

Nice, Matt! I told you that the menu was pretty slick on the new hardware. Glad you like it, and sorry you're running into issues :/

Nick B got me sorted out with the MAX keypad issue, so I'm up and running now. I like how they took the very simple readout menu from the 880LM and put it in this. It makes it so much easier to program than trying to decipher LED segment hieroglyphs on the older models. This thing is very simple. I've never really fooled with these kind of radios, and I've (obviously) never touched a Star1000, and this was plain and simple to get it up and running and get devices programmed into it. It has the options I want, and the ease of use that really helps make it worth it. So now after playing with this, I can safely recommend it to other people.

Hi GaragedoorGeek! I have a chamberlain HD200D opener that is 9 years old. It is used as an everyday door. How long do you think it has left on it? Thanks! :)

Bloopers 1221 That all depends on how much you use the door and the condition of your door and how well the door is balanced. If it was run for a long period of time and the door was in poor condition or the springs were improperly adjusted, that will shorten the life of any opener. If the door is and has always been in good condition and balance, the opener may serve you well beyond the expected 10-12 year service life.

Well for 8 of the years we had a poorly balanced overhead door that binded a lot had dents and cracks, etc. this year we have a new clopay that's in great condition... The door goes up and down about 3-6 times a day (depending on which day it is) Any ideas now?

It also Has a bad limit switch.. It makes me really mad lol

Because of the old door being out of balance for so long, and with the limit switch being bad, I'd say it's time for a new one. If one doesn't fix it, you'll need the other one, and it gets even more costly if you are having someone come out and do the work. That's not the high end machine, and a new similar version would be about the same as a tech coming out to replace the limit switch, possibly less.

Well.. My dad isn't interested in getting it fixed or anything because It openes and closes the door everyday with no problem... So we will just wait until the gear strips and get something like an 8550 or a whisper drive. I'm not very sure when the gear will strip but I looked at the bottom of the motor case and didn't see any gear shavings so I don't think it's going out for awhile. What do you think?
