last week, i was going thru a rough art block where i thought everything i was sketching was ugly. and i realized it was bc i wasnt giving myself the time to "work" on a piece. and also developing some self-hatred even tho i know i am an artist. and ur chat about learning to love ur pieces rly resonated with me. even tho i might create something that doesnt look nice to me, i can still treat it as a learning opportunity and practice self-love. im so glad i watched ur vlog todayyy
i love the little peeks into what you do outside of art making -- since the last vlog. i thought it's nice and give an added dimension to your art/studio vlogs! also the music to the self-portrait painting scene is incredibly beautiful! it makes the whole scene so moving.
Congrats for your itchy joy! That's a good place to be as you'll sling shot into your happy art space soon enough! Also on the self-portrait with Frida over your shoulder! One way to learn proportion is to merge your photo over your painting in photoshop to discern facial landmark placements and see how your drawing differs from the photo. Remember the face is set on the surface of a globe that is the skull. I love that you challenged your fear! You are courageous! Bravo! 👏🏼
I love that you took time to make art just for you. As a small biz owner, I actually schedule time for playing in my studio. It’s therapeutic. 🌸 Cannot wait for my goodies to arrive!
Aww this vlog was great all around Paloma! I really love the chat you shared at the end, and I’m so proud of you for accomplishing a fear you’ve had for awhile! That piece was beautiful! I’m excited to see you express yourself more authentically and support you! Be blessed ❤
I love your comment "Im just going to do this because it's fun" I always think anything I do needs to have a solid purpose or create income. Awesome how you can find the time, that's what Im going to try and do, allocate time to do just something for me, no reason just creative joy :)
I loved every minute of this vlog 🥰 And making art for myself is actually one of my art goals this year! So I was so happy watching you make something you loved. There's something so special about it. Thank you for making these vlogs and keeping me company while I make art
28:18 the name of the piano piece pleasssseee it put a smile on my face while I’m depressed need to hear it more 🙏 I always love your music choices it goes so well with the vibe of your videos
I just really wanted to touch on your self-portrait. You mentioned the flaws you noticed, but honestly, it just looked like a stylized portrait. Had you not mentioned the flaws and improving them, I would not have noticed any issues and just thought it qas stylistic choice. With that said, I agree with conquering fears in the art journey and bettering your skills. I just wanted to say THAT about your portrait, because I really loved it. 💜
As a small shop owner and artist myself, I really appreciate seeing these moments and honesty from artists I admire, it gives me faith I will one day be closer to where I want to be with my shop.

The self process is wild idk. Black and white photo turned into vibrant layers of color. In awe and fun to watch

I was wondering, how do you balance your school life with work?
I wish you would’ve blurred out your patrons addresses, but I really enjoyed this video. 😊
