There is little point in filming synchro without this or similar or split screen technology. I was on a team 50 years ago so perhaps I understand what spectators are missing without this. Makes a HUGE difference. Thanks to the inventors.

To catch the underwater cheating they would need only underwater cameras. No need for splicing on the above-water action, because the swimmers don't try to harm each other above water where everyone would see it.
Syncronized Swimming is the most difficult and most beautiful sports in the world. Just pure magic!

Wow amazing, I really enjoy watching synchronize swimming I felt I was there watching them live.
this has moved so far ahead from what i remember as a kid in the 80's, also that SNL skit mocking synchronized swimming
gymnastic, swimming and ballet, wow ! you gotta have talent. you really need to pay attention when watching this type of sport. timing, execution and showmanship. it should be in the olympics. they have hawk eye tech in tennis copied by the volleyball team and now this, good to see. now, if they just need to removed golf in the olympics, which is not a sport , mostly recreational, for people who are un athletic but wanting to look cool. " hey, i play golf as sport". pls, sit down and eat yah bon bons.

slumnote golf is a sport. It takes so much skill to play at the level in which the pros play. It takes so much strategy. You have to plan every shot. You have to know how hard you need to hit the ball and find where you want it to land. It is a sport.

It's beautiful! As a male I wish there was synchronized swimming for us (or something similar), but even then it looks so much more graceful with the ladies.

I remember seeing that camera filming people just normal swimming during synchronised swimming training. My Dad once had to tell the guy running it to take it off charge because if the cable touched the water it could’ve electrocuted people in the pool which I was one of. 😬😬

The camera water dome does the same job.. (like gopro dome). Maybe a bigger dome like 1meter to avoid waves problems on surface... but ok if we have to put the money somewhere why not :-P

Because of refraction which would distort the underwater part of it. It's explained at 02:37.

The olympic official claimed that squash is not to be admitted in olympic because they dont have camera technology to catch the fast moving ball. I say BS.

I'm watching documentary "Perfect" about Canadian Team. All they have it's an Asian coach screaming at them. They lost and concluded that they didn't win because politics of the sport. They got beaten by Spain btw.
