Good stuff man. Liked and subscribed. What I always do is put the track I plan to use inf a blank screen and upload it to youtube as unlisted and see what happens. If it posts and shows copyright, ok to use then I make my cover. Its worked well for me.
If you look in video manager on a video you upload, it will who copyright status. In most cases it will say "OK to use" in some cases, it may be blocked in some countries or blocked entirely. So before I shoot a cover, I embed the sound track plan to use into a blank screen then save it as a video and upload it to see what happens with copyright. If it clears copyright, then I shoot the cover.
Thank you Sir Corey for sharing things like these. I am planning to do drum covers and this video is a big help. I am really scared on that “copyright” thing. Will try to do these things before uploading. Again, thank you.
GREAT INFO. With covid-19 had to switch doing lessons online, making drum instructional videos for my students and was having issues with this - big help...thank you, thank you!
Thanks for posting this. I have been struggling with learning how to post stuff with out being smacked with some kind of suit. I have just mostly posted stuff to my personal FB page and hoped it would fall under “fair use” as I’m playing not highlighting the song or even trying to monetize off of it. I am still searching for a service to pay the fees to use the music I want to play, so I can eventually make out or at least the fees back. Any further tips would be great. Also I have learned so much from your covers and actually learned how to play a few songs.
Thanks bro. Was wondering if I have to licence songs first? Or is that just if I want to monetize? Also, what would be best music app for using when editing?(Spotify, iTunes etc.)
Hope this will work for me. I actually pitched one of my video but its just half high pitched hahaha so I'll do what you said. A whole pitch. Thanks bro
Hii...I covered one song and uploaded it....and it was blocked....but thrs already alot of cover of the same song out on TH-cam....can u plz tell me why is this happening...and how to avoid it???
Bro I am Drummer .but I was afraid to get copyright strike ..when I cover drum...this is actually work bro. Plz bro...if it is possible I start to do cover
What if a song has no drum part as it is? Do you know if that counts as parody? Many of the ones i want to do are from video games, or were originally recorded in MIDI, or are just songs that have no drum track in the first place.
so when i get copy righterd and particially blocked, people still can watch it right? it shows on my account right? we only get demonitize but people still can watch?
Im just really good at playing out of time, seems to throw the algorithm off.
chris haigh 😂😂

Dude what a great idea! Everyone should take note of this comment! ^^
Never thought of doing that. Great idea!
Why do you mean dude? “If it shows copyright” can I upload it or not mate?
@@projack9636 sometimes you still can. what he is saying is to have a private youtube channel to test it out on first.

Bro u are awesome thanks bro
hi regarding the pitch, do i have to adjust the pitch for all instruments in a song? including vocals?
Yes, it’s kind of annoying to go this route
What if a song has no drum part as it is? Do you know if that counts as parody?
Many of the ones i want to do are from video games, or were originally recorded in MIDI, or are just songs that have no drum track in the first place.
Keep getting done

TikTok is relentless with muting 🤦🏻♂️
I’m helping my nephew with his channel & most people think it’s not him. He is like a robot 🤖 😂
I play a lot of drumless tracks cover and still get Copyrighted notice. Even though it’s not from the original artist. How do I avoid that ?
very useful bro,thx
So basically leave your fuck ups in to keep it different lol
Thanks bro
Great video Corey, love the energy in this
thanks so much dude. I appreciate the feedback!
is it the same thing on facebook?
Trying to cover Taylor Swift is like trying to make cheese balls in your home kitchen. I can't imagine why anyone would want to do that.
hahahahahaha. yes!
Corey - Do these tips apply to drumless tracks?
Depends on where your getting your drumless tracks from?
Changing the beat to the song I'm covering never saves me from copying lol 😓
You’ll still get copy right but you won’t get a strike
tip#4 avoid Eagles covers unless you want Don Henley to choke you in your sleep
How to do this on TikTok?
God its so annyong that there is no way of uploading drum covers without having to distort the original song in some way. That ruins the cober for me.
Is there anywhere I can find your new slaves cover?
wow, that's an old one. Let me see if I can find it anywhere for you.
Try this link: th-cam.com/video/5o9IT7Hr9vI/w-d-xo.html
Ah man it's saying it's blocked! That sucks! Thats one of my favorite videos you put out and got super bummed when I couldn't find it!
@@iplaythedrumsgood shoot me your email. I might be able to send you the video.
ajmart88@yahoo.com thanks man I really appreciate it! Keep up the great work man!
How to avoid YT blocked... I'm very bad drumer
Our current copy right laws have really abused their policies now.
None of this is necessary...only thing you have to do when posting a drum cover is wear a thong, a low cut top, and expose your mid riff. Battle over
plz go to 60 fps not 10
mozerfaker spent 1 minute on nothing
not faking.
