  • In this video we`ll show you how easy it is to stick burn on the M1 and turn around to reverse sear a t-bone steak.
    The M1 is a stick burning /charcoal smoker and fully adjustable charcoal grill all wrapped in one beautiful patio cooker. From smoking, baking, grilling, and searing.. the M1 can handle anything you can throw at it.
    Handcrafted in Texas and built to last!

    I love my M1. What kind of fire starters did you use in this video. Thanks

      They are Zip Premium Firestarter blocks and work great. I usually use Weber's and they work great too.

    Is there a way to hook up a bbq guru when cooking with charcoal and wood chunks as opposed to all wood?

      The current model M1 you see on our website is vastly different than the M1 seen in this older video. This version of the M1 was $1995. The new M1 that has a fully insulated firebox, 1/4" thick 304 stainless firebox door, 304 stainless steel exhaust stack, integrated stainless steel top shelf extension and MANY other upgrades has gone through price increase. This is also due to the rising cost in raw materials from years ago.

      @@Mgrills is the B2 similar to this version of the M1?

    • @Mgrills
      @Mgrills  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikeg6069 The B2 does not feature an dedicated firebox like the M1. The B2 does have the same adjustable charcoal grate, stainless grates and removable top shelf extension, and same build quality as the M1.

      @@Mgrills what's the significance of a dedicated fire box? IOW, how is the B2 deminished by not having a dedicated fire box? I'm strongly considering the B2 but I need to understand the importance of the compromises.

    Watching the precision with which he tin foil wraps the ribs tells you a lot about this man’s grills and how they are made….

    You must go through a lot of wood cooking something like a brisket. Would lump charcoal be better for something like that. I wouldn't want to put wood in the smoker every hour for 12 hours.

    • @Mgrills
      @Mgrills  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      illtellulatta03 If you choose to smoke with all wood, you will burn through a log about every hour. But that will give you the best flavor in my opinion just like the best BBQ restaurants do. You can load the basket with lump charcoal instead and get anywhere from 4 to 6 hours between refuels. You have that option though. Run the M1 as a stick burner or charcoal smoker. It's very versatile.

    When you reverse sear the steak, why do you add wood to the lower firebox ... isn't the lump on the right side of the charcoal grate enough heat for the convection part of the reverse sear?

    • @Mgrills
      @Mgrills  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is and you can do both. I personally like to utilize the firebox method and burn larger splits of wood while reverse searing. I can definitely tell a difference in the smokiness on the steaks.
