Joshua Zirkzee is the most unique, value for money player on the market this summer. He has had a great year for Bologna helping them get to UCL football and is wanted by many clubs. I don;t know how people refuse to see that, yes, we scored the most goals, however, we need more options to score goals. Look at the Villa game, Bournemouth, Fulham. When teams sit low (very low), how do we score goals. Early in the season, and at times nearer the end now, we have dominated games but missed a physical poacher, almost like a Haaland or Aguero or Drogba. It isn't to say we can't score enough, but what's the point beating Sheffield or Palace 6 - 0, then drawing to Fulham and losing to Villa? It's about being able to score goals in different ways.
even halaands don't always have their ways...... look at halaand against Arsenal, Toney against Arsenal, H kane against Arsenal even Solanke against Arsenal....... there is no guarantee a 30 goal striker is going to score whenever you need him to...... besides having one focal point affects the performances of everyone else...... Arteta prefers rigid fluidity in his front line, which is why Laca faired better than a tried and testes goal scorer in Auba
With the right kind of training from Arteta, zirkzee could become a great striker for arsenal due to other elements that sets him apart from other strikers. I looked at the stats comparison between him and Alexander Isak, and was surprised. The only edge isak has over him are the goal difference.. I think his worth the risk..

what do you mean "not a goal scorer" in the serie A there usually aren't as many opportunities at goal as it is a VERY and I mean VERY defensive league. to give you an indication: Bologna is currently in 4th place of the serie A and only scored 49 goals all season. Inter milan is having a crazy season with 81 goals and Juventus and Ac Milan have 48 and 67 respectively. This means that Zirkzee is responsible for a solid 22% of all of Bologna's goals this season. Zirkzee is currently outperforming his xG (8.9) by 2.1 goals and has a non-penalty xG of 7.3 which is insane for a striker at a club like bologna that isn't usually in the top 6 even of Italian football.
nah having 1 havertz is enough, we need the new Henry, or Etoo that can actually score 50 goals/ season

Arsenal already have players like this in abundance so we need a different and unique profile of a forward player, the final piece of Arsenal attack.

I love Zirkzee he is an amazing dribbler and is really good at pressing he is fast and could get the best out of Martinelli with Zirkzee on the pitch it wouldn’t surprise me if Martinelli gets 15-20 goals a season
Class player good price wont moan if we get him. Dream is Isak, and very interested by gyokeres but zirkzee has been dismissed by so many but he will be a top top player one day. I think he will score goals in our team 6ft 4 version of pre injury jesus slightly better finisher for me.
Imagine Isak up front, Saka on right and Gyokeres on left. I see both Swedish and Saka as a forward of Arsenal!

I feel like his profile fits more of a box to box midfielder or DM....should partner Rice infrastructure of the backbone...that's what Newcastle did to Joelton,a DM who used to play a striker
I would say that we already have enough players, only position thats lacking is probably left back which could probably be filled by tierney.
Everyone saying that "hes not a finisher" but he can learn that as he has the potential too ronaldo when he first started as united wasnt a so called finisher . But its still arguable that usak is better with i can agree with because hes prem proven which i belive hed get more used to arsenal then zirkzee.
He’s a good project player and with Havertz doing nothing wrong to be removed from being our number 9, we should buy this guy and sell Eddie.

I believe that we need sign him to rotate with Kai for next season and then sell Kai for profit to Germany and also sign De jong or joa Norva or even Luis and Pedir is valuable due brac's financial crisis
He seems too similar to Havertz. The front line press would be pretty crazy with both Havertz and Zirkzee on the pitch tho

if arteta want to make havertz as center forward and buy zirkzee, he needs to buy 1 or 2 more midfield. Because havertz didn't work as midfielder in this season.

My argument against this striker is that he's not Premier League proven. Arsenal best players have all played in the english league and done well. We shouldn't break that model.
Flawed argument. Only the players we bought from other premier league teams were “premier league” proven. Gabriel, Saliba, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Partey, Odegaard et al were not when they joined. There are good players out of the EPL, ya know

Just look for a ruthless finisher, man. I'm not sure he is one. This guy is way too involved in every other thing for a striker.

It’s better to have total team football with everyone scoring. It’s much easier to mark one striker.
Finishing is important but link up play is probably more important in Arsenals system
