I would make a halo and use it not only while you are bald, but as you are growing your hair out it would be fun to wear at times. It would be cute to get a picture of your kids wearing it and having that reminder of how much of a warrior you were and how strong you were during this time in your life.

That is a hard decision and can be an emotional thing to go through! I say embrace it and cut it. That’s one thing my SIL did when she started losing her hair when fist diagnosed with cancer. I liked the idea someone gave earlier about cutting it and saving it as a braid. That way you would have a cute momento...instead of a halo that you may or may not wear.
I promise it's so much less traumatic to shave it now then to watch it fall out every day and to start to see bald spots. My daughters 14 year old best friend is fighting the same cancer right now and she held off and every day when she would brush it she would cry and it got to the point the whole top of her head was bald and you could see her scalp because she didn't want to shave it but we finally talked her into it and she said herself shaving it was way less traumatic then seeing all the hair come out every day. You look gorgeous with short hair!!! I remember cutting your mohawk when I was in hair school and it was my favorite when it was short. You got this!
i think you should make a halo wig out of it just to keep and have. you can always wear it or hang on to it as a memoir of the time you beat cancer! you can wear wigs (synthetic or your own) if you would like, you can wear caps or even nothing at all, either way you’re going to look absolutely beautiful! those are my thoughts at least.. i love you T, you got this 🤟🏽❤️❤️

One thing to think about, having really long hair falling out is going to be really messy. It's easier to manage the fall out when it's shorter. You're going to lose it anyway 😔. I vote cut it! ❤👍
Hair is overrated. It grows back. 🤗But... it is very emotional. As a cancer survivor I wore a wig and didn’t feel comfortable with a scarf but girl you can rock it. Do what you think is best. Wearing beanies was much more comfortable and natural feeling for me vs wig. I cut my hair very short before it started falling out. I’m glad I made that choice. The second chemo I got later which made my hair fall out again really made my head hurt as the hair fell out more rapidly.
I think it would be better to chose when you lose your hair, by cutting it, then to see it fall out day by day. You have a beautiful face and besides your beautiful spirit just shines through! Praying for you daily.
If you cut it, being the beautiful and giving person you are, I can see you also donating it. If you keep it as your own wig, that's awesome too. So I think cut it cuz! Lysm!
I have had friends who faced that dilemma/decision. The majority cut the hair and donated, but saved a lock of it in a braid. They loved having several fun wigs, turbans, & hats. Cut it before it gets too thin and hold onto it until you make the decision.

My 2 cents.... It's cold! You're used to tons of insulation even when it's short hair, bald head feels about 10-15 degrees colder than what your arms or legs feels. Human hair Wis are spendy! Synthetic are amazing and so many color/style options. Make sure you measure you head before ordering anything. Hair density is important so you don't look like your drowning in hair. I would cut it and make a halo wig. I think you would be beautiful without it but some days might be really hard and maybe you would want to have something to make you feel "normal". Also that is a part of you and it is so pretty!❤❤❤

I would just buy one! There are so many companies out there that make really realistic wigs nowadays. I'm getting one from pearls hair boutique, but I also know that "thehairmama" on Instagram has medical wigs that you can check and see if they would be covered by insurance. They're definitely not cheap, but you could totally have a custom one made to look just like your natural hair!!
I can see that would be a really hard decision to make. My thought is if it’s just a matter of a few days or a week before you loose your hair...you might as well save it for the halo. That’s just my thought. You are strong though and will make the right choice for you 😊
Honey whatever you choose-you will Rock it out! I understand it’s hard, I can’t even begin to imagine. This is really beautiful time for you to match Rose. You two can twin together with all the scarves and bun bands, hats etc.
I also cut mine short(er...it's never been really long) before it started falling out because I wanted it to be as untraumatic as possible. Once mine started coming out in clumps I shaved it. It hurt! Until it all fell out. I was actually using a lint roller (recommended by several cancer sisters) to get it out as fast as possible so it would stop hurting. (Just more FYI tips)

I would keep your hair however you can - - in a bag cut from a ponytail, braided, etc... (even if you don't have it made into a halo wig), but wouldn't wear a wig. You are so beautiful and confident, you would be gorgeous bald. Err on the side of caution. If you're asking, I feel like you'll regret it if you don't keep it somehow or another.
If it were me I would shave it all off and use it for a halo just in case I wanted the option. Doesn’t hurt to have that set aside. Either way you will make the right choice. 😘🤟🏼 You’ll rock any look!
There’s no harm in cutting it and making the halo wig, since the hair is going to fall out anyways. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to wear it. Then you can shave your head later and go bald if you love that, or wear amazing scarves or amazing colored wigs (like purple - which is what color I dye my hair bc it’s my fav). Ultimately my thought is you don’t want to miss the opportunity to make the halo wig by waiting too long.

It's a matter of a few days whether you cut it for the halo, or because most of it falls out. You may want a piece of "yourself" in the future when you look at yourself and don't recognize the person in the mirror. Do the halo. You can have it for times that you need to feel like the person you were before this hurdle came along. Love you!

Chemo changes your hair! So most likely your hair will be curly after it grows back!! I would make the halo wig so you can have it when you want it. If you end up not using it or liking it, donate it :) you will be beautiful no matter what and it will be worth it to have it if you want it.

I would say imagine that you don’t have it. Is it something you would regret not having? Imaging getting it and not wanting to wear it, would you regret spending the money on it? Which would you regret more? Do that!
Hey girl! Let me give you my professional opinion...wigs suck!!! They are hot...itchy.. uncomfortable. I am totally into comfort, (so that's me. Comfort over looks everytime.) When I did take the time to put on a wig and makeup (also a pain because your eyebrows fall out and your eyelashes do too. So makeup looks goofy as well.) I had way more fun with just crazy wigs! The few times I used a wig, I was glad I didn't spend the money to make one from my own hair.
I'm probably in the minority on this one. I don't think I'd do a halo with my hair. It is hard to say since I'm not in the situation you are, but I think I'd just let it go and start over. Plus to me it seems kind of weird to wear my own hair when it isn't growing out of my head... I might cut it and donate it to someone else that would need a wig though.
If you do it now and make it, you have the option. If you wait, you won't have the option later. You won't know how you feel about it later so I think I would want to have the option later.

I would say imagine that you don’t have it. Is it something you would regret not having? Imaging getting it and not wanting to wear it, would you regret spending the money on it? Which would you regret more? Do that!
Hey girl! Let me give you my professional opinion...wigs suck!!! They are hot...itchy.. uncomfortable. I am totally into comfort, (so that's me. Comfort over looks everytime.) When I did take the time to put on a wig and makeup (also a pain because your eyebrows fall out and your eyelashes do too. So makeup looks goofy as well.) I had way more fun with just crazy wigs! The few times I used a wig, I was glad I didn't spend the money to make one from my own hair.

I'm probably in the minority on this one. I don't think I'd do a halo with my hair. It is hard to say since I'm not in the situation you are, but I think I'd just let it go and start over. Plus to me it seems kind of weird to wear my own hair when it isn't growing out of my head... I might cut it and donate it to someone else that would need a wig though.
If you do it now and make it, you have the option. If you wait, you won't have the option later. You won't know how you feel about it later so I think I would want to have the option later.
I would make a wig out of it. This way you have another option. But I think you will look beautiful with a bald head :)

Make a halo. Then you have it, if you don't end up using it then at least you did it just in case.
Cut it and use it. What do you have to lose if you cut it.. a weeks time? Do you have to make the wig immediately? Cut it and think about it if not.
