Such beautiful footage, gorgeous skies! I live on the east coast, nice to have the sun rise over the ocean, but it must be beautiful to see it from this lighthouse, coming up over land.
Thanks so much! This was a cold but pleasant late-Fall day. I had fantisized about how the rising sun would look from this lighthouse located 1.5 miles offshore. This was my first flight with my first drone. I made a lot of mistakes. My first drone died a hero's death, providing a feed to my phone before losing battery power and ultimately plunging into the sea about a quarter mile from the beach. Terribly Tilly claimed another victim. Knowing what I know now I'll probably never try that again! This footage lives on in memoriam of my first drone.
@@andrewtoddmedia oh, that’s awful that you lost your drone…but it probably happens a lot. I’ve been watching a lot of videos of storms off the coast of Brittany, in the Iroise sea, where the English Channel meets the Bay of Biscay, roughest seas in Europe, lots of rocks just under the surface of the water, there are a lot of lighthouses there, far off of the coast like Tillamook lighthouse is. The footage is taken from helicopters or small planes and is very dramatic. I would love to see Tillamook Rock during a storm! Such a forlorn place. I really appreciate all you drone people getting me up close to it.

I wish that that would like it some way so you could see it’s lit it sad it’s a pice of history and just think it’s a cool little light house 😢❤
Restoration efforts are underway!
