Thank you for all the kindness on this video. I've got several messages with people expressing similar experiences and I'm just so happy that this is something that can be relatable
I am so grateful for your vulnerability and raw honesty Corissa. That divorce talk was so real and I really appreciate that you were able to talk about it. As a subscriber who followed you during that transition it always seemed so shady, strange and abrupt. It was hard to watch and not wonder what was going on. Your life is absolutely none of our business, nor are your life choices up for discussion, just know we care about you and want to know that you are happy, healthy, and living your best life.
thank you for this comment! I too found it kinda fishy, but knew that it wasn't her responsibility to explain what was going on...I had to stop myself from thinking and feeling entitled to her personal information...but you said this perfectly. at the end of the day we jus wanna see her happy and thriving :)
J’s got the sweetest demeanor. Just hearing them speak melts my heart. Carrissa, it was very brave of you to open up about your divorce and show your feelings. Divorce is more difficult when you lack a “reason” as you said, because your spouse is so often your best friend. I’m so glad that you and J found one another. I think you’re both very special people. ❤️
Y’all are so right that saying horrible things about our partner disguised as “venting” is toxic to our relationship. It’s so important to keep our relationships special.
aldale I’m sure your son is just fine but it’s not about being well-rounded. When you have siblings you learn things about yourself and about others that you just don’t have the opportunity to learn in any other way. The arguing and making up, the negotiating and debating and cooperation and sharing time, space and things...there is just a great benefit from having siblings that cannot be duplicated otherwise.
I grew up w 2 sisters and 14 years later my mom had the last one so she’s like an only child since we were grown and gone by the time she entered kindergarten and she’s struggled
@@jessethewestie22 I'm sure my mom would say the same but she can't say from experience because she isn't an only child lol. I'm cool, I'm well rounded, I'm fine! I just do feel I missed out on certain aspects of life without siblings. The initial post about being messed up was a joke, we only children make it often
Hoping to obtain an open, honest/truthful, loving relationship like this someday. Y'all's communication is absolutely amazing. And of course you all are angels 😍🤗
So I know this was posted forever ago, but I have to say how important it is for me to see J's support of you when talking about your divorce. The way you explained it gives me so much insight into how my bf feels. He's also been divorced and sometimes it's hard that they're still friends, but this really gave me so much clarity and room for introspection. I hope that I can be even a quarter as supportive as J is to my bf trying to navigate our relationship amid his past and their continued relationship.
I so love you guys! Not only do you inspire me but your honesty, your self love & experiences really do help me, personally, to be me and to also LOVE my curves! 💕
Divorce isn’t easy no matter what. It’s so painful . Even though I got remarried to a wonderful husband of mine, I still cry. Because my ex husband killed hisself a few years ago ,he was remarried as well. But I wish I could have told him I forgave him and that we both had faults in the marriage.
I LOVED THIS VIDEO! So many really great topics touched on.. I was watching this while my partner was in the room and it sparked good conversation, which is also great. I love you both 💜 keep on keepin on
okay i definitely sobbed with you, Corissa when you were talking about your divorce. just wanted to give hugs all around! y’all are so much fun and i could have listened to y’all talk together forever!
I agree about divorce , I was divorced but now remarried to someone else , however , no matter the circumstances of a divorce its still an end to part of ur way of life and a loss , x
I think you two are great! I see a lot of laughter and I feel it is as important as love in a relationship. Adoption is wonderful. I could not have kids and my Ex and I adopted our Son (25 now) through family. My Boy is the love of my life! I am so freaking glad you talked about how sad and soul hurting divorce is Karissa. Though I fell out of love with my Husband it hurt to the core of my being to divorce. It is ugly and we just have to wade through it. I could not agree more with J. Most of us have different love language and have to work at it. Love to you both
I love you guys. I feel as though you guys are so raw and real. Thank you for sharing a little part of your personal life. Cant wait to see more from both of you! XO
I always tell my fiance that I don't poop, I meditate when I go in to the bathroom, and I use the spray to spray the aura away when I am done. lol he just roles his eyes.
Don’t leave it too much longer Carissa. It took my sister 5 years to conceive as they waited until she was 35 until they tried. It was very difficult for her.
I used to watch you religiously and I’m honestly unsure as to what happened. I’ve been catching up and I’ve got to say J is soooooooo sweet. They have such an adorable personality and I’m sure they’re an amazing partner. Honestly so happy for you all ❤️
I LOVE what you two say about how unconditional love works and also how it is important to talk and act positively with a partner. Great video! Loved this! 🌸
Yaasss! Thank you for being open FGF. This was so great and honest. I laughed and cried enjoyed every second. " I dont even do anything that fancy y'all" ❤ ❤ and 🌈 🌈 J always!
Omg. So right about the shit talking about partners. Lately I have been just bragging about my husband because we have been through so much and he really is amazing...if he does one little thing, I don't need to go talk shit about him..its not right and I would be pissed of he did it to me. Very good advice you guys..thank you so much. You are so cute!!
In the book he says it's rare for your love languages to match. My husband and I are both quality time and I refused to believe him at first because it is so rare... plus he likes words of affirmation a lot, too.
You both are so great...I’m watching this vowing to myself to be better in my relationships (Platonic and not). You both seem so reflective and intentional and I wish you could hold a class on relationships and/or be my therapist! Lol 💕
Divorce is never easy....no matter who wants it. After 30 years, my ex and I are finally "kinda" friends. Recently, I lost my Soul Mate after 28 years of marriage (complications of Parkinsons). He and his wife actually have been checking in on me. I wish for our children we would have been more mature a long time ago. Love you both.
Have you read brene brown? The “doing my best” phrase stood out to me as something I just learned from her book Rising Strong! Totally has changed the way I’ve viewed life.
Straight chick married for a zillion years and I love the fuck out of jay. You guys are amazing. Keep loving each other, and flirt often, live always ♡ love from portland ♡
J is a very special person you made a great decision with her you are are both wonderful but carrying them is not a big deal I had my first child at 33 so you could carry a child with no problem I know Jay doesn't want to but you could it's a great thing to do
I never smiled at a video so much in my life. Honestly, I cried when you cried. I love y’all so much now. I follow you on Instagram but this video is so hard not to fall in love with y’all as a couple.
90% of the arguments I have with my husband is because one or both of us is hungry. We have gotten better about realizing that's WHY we're fighting, and to pause it until after we are fed.
There are pros and cons to being an only, as my son is, or one of 2, as I am. My mom was an only, and wished for a sibling. Families come I all sizes and I wish you both the best for your current and future family.
You guys are so beautiful both together and separately! I asked this on Instgram a while ago, and I am genuinely curious, when you do welcome children into your lives what title does J want to use? It's a conversation I've been thinking about a while now, what do non-binary parents want to be called (besides parents)?

This makes me so happy!
@@Mariestorrm they've completely changed our lives 💜

Mandy Moody I love them both so much. I wish I could be their best friend
"i've grown up thinking if you're an only child you're gonna be messed up" "you're not wrong" LOLL from an only child, RELATABLE
I'm also 28 and my husband is 34 - similar age gap!
Disagree. My son is an only child, not by choice, and we're working very hard to make him as well rounded as possible.
