    thanks for doing these! if anyone doesn't have the 3D Print sidebar, enable it by going to Edit->Preferences->Add-Ons->Mesh: 3D Print Toolbox

    The reversed text direction is caused by the direction of the curve geometry. In curve Edit mode, Menu select Segments -> Switch Direction.

    think you could do a tutorial on how to engrave text with a text box on a more complex model, like grey knights powerd words on a leg for example ?

      That could be cool. I'll have to see if I have a model coming up to do that with 🤔 It can be tricky/cause mesh issues so it's interesting. I'd advise having Mesh Machin3 to help with the cleanup.

    Just made a 50mm base template,. Didn't really design anythin super fancy I'm afraid, but if I actually got everything sized correctly and optimized to print I'll be pretty excited. Thanks for these text tutorials, wound up having to go the curve modifier route. Will show you how it came out (if it comes out 😅😂)

      I can't wait to see it. How you printing it? Supports or flat on the printer bed?

    • @BrailleScale
      @BrailleScale 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ArtisansofVaul I'm printing it flat. I invested in a flex plate and all the bases I printed after watching your video have been flat. I've had no issues there. More so concerned that some of my measurements won't translate exactly, this will be the first time I've printed something designed to match up "exactly" to an existing object.

    hello, im using a cursive text and the letters overlap, and when i do a curve deform my object with the curved surface disappears, do you have a solution to this?

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @saulchavez7402 Yes, it's actually pretty easy once you know the system to do it. I had the same for some name tags. Do you have hard ops? It makes it MUCH easier-

    How did you make that column.? I’d be keen as to see how it was made? Great vid again as well

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd happily make a video on making the column, I just left it as there are quite a few. But its a good way to learn a couple of tools. I'll add it to the list. 👍

    hello any idea how to taper text to center like the Everlast logo ?

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd probably dice the object (hard ops) and then use a lattice modifier.
