Very nice explanation. I would like to see more stuff about poles and zeroes. Especially for compensation of some opamp circuits to prevent instability.
You're welcome. Thanks for the comment. I suggest watching this video th-cam.com/video/KwUnQXbk7gM/w-d-xo.html that includes discussion about Poles and Zeros of Sallen-Key Filter and overall filter performance. Very interesting circuit, and explained in a way that even I could understand (I think). Is the practical application of this circuit (as compared to just using 4 diodes and a some filter caps) basically cases where you might want to vary beta, and where you don't need much current at the output?
Thanks for watching, your comment & good question. Glad that this AC-DC Converter Circuit is helpful. Answering your question, this circuit allows fast conversion (depending on Op-Amp type) and independence of conversion from the output load that is driven by tge output of the second operational amplifier. How does a AC to DC Converter work with full wave rectification and what is the value or Formula for the resulting DC voltage at the output of the AC adaptor circuit? This circuit is implemented with two Op Amps, two diodes and a few resistors and capacitors. @@Random-ez8kv Thanks for your interest in this circuit. I suggest using a very-low-drift low-noise FET-input Op Amp. Also make sure you have a clean DC voltage supply with proper bypass capacitor. And use resistors and caps with 1% or better tolerance. @@rudygomez6996 no worries. At 21:40 I am just computing the average of the full-wave rectified (meaning absolute) sinusoidal signal by integrating over one period. 🙂
Dear professor thank you for sharing so much information. Best regards from Brazil
