Correction: Wright 3350's are not supper charged. The exhaust gases drive a turbine that then sends that energy thru drive shafts directly to the crankshaft there by recovering some of the lost energy from the exhaust. A brilliant design that avoids the heating cause by super charging and turbo charging and does not have to use intercoolers to cool the intake charge down. So, they were called turbo compound engines.
