Jalal Chandyo has given re-birth to Sindhi Music in sindh. After popular Sindhi singers Bhaghat Kanwar Raam, Jeevni Bai and Master Chander, Sindhi Music had lost it's popularity. Non-Sindhi music was played and listened every where in Sindh. Then came Jalal Chandyo in the mid 70′s and got so immensely popular that his songs could be heard in every street, hotel and home, every nook and corner in Sindh. People bought cassette players just to listen to songs of him. It was he who caused the establishment of Sindhi Music Industry in Sindh. Cassette companies with Studios equipped with Sindhi musical instruments were founded to just bring out his cassettes, which latter on introduced other Sindhi singers. His popularity created an environment in favour of Sindhi music and people turned inclined to listening to Sindhi music and that paved the way for renaissance of Sindhi Music.
