It smells different on everyone. Everyone compliments how i smell when i wear this. This smells sooooo good. Im in love with it and its all i ever where.
Arlene, I usually agree with you. However, I love this perfume. The first time I used it, I thought it was so so. Then the next few times I used it, I would think, what smells so good? Oh it’s the Born in Roma perfume. The dry down smells good too. Big bonus, it last all day on me. I was tired of paying a lot of money for fragrances that only last a few hours. This one last and last.
That's what I said. It's definitely worth the money.
I’m IN LOVE!!!! It’s my current fave along with L’interdit.
This is my favorite fragrance right now. It doesn’t smell on me like scandal or lady million I hate those. I Think the jasmin tea in born in Roma makes it not so cloying and so sweet. I usually like to switch my fragrances everyday since I have over 100 but I ve been wearing for a month straight.

Born in Roma... means a native of Rome, a true blooded Italian... it doesn't mean the ancient city of Rome 😂
It's strong and last for hours! Smells extremely sweet. Her review is just an opinion. It's definitely not disappointing I. Don't know what the heck she's talking about 😒🙄🙄🙄

Haven't smelled a lot of perfumes so this perfume doesn't come off as redundant. I mainly wear Marc Jacobs..so the scent is unique to me. It's sweet but it's not teenage sweet to me. I love it. Lovvveeeeee this scent

I don’t know what the original Donna smelled like, but I like this perfume because some of the notes remind me of olympia in the drydown and it last on my skin, I love olympia but so unhappy it does not stay on me at all even on my clothes!!! I spray olympia on my bedsheets and my pj until I finish with the bottle lolll!!! But I really like Born in roma , nice frag🥰
Ive had the same issue. I got a sample of it and would spray liberally but i wouldnt get more than an hour before i couldnt smell it anymore. I tried on my clothes as well. And the projection wasnt great for ne either. To be honest i dont get the hype. But its all subjective i suppose.
I usually have a similar nose to you but I’m confused af on this one 😂 this one to me I loved at first but became annoying and now I’m not sure I even like it anymore. I’m not sure if it macerated or what but I find it flying ans overwhelming j assumed it was the types of or heavy jasmine im not really sure but I barely get any fruit with this one lol. When I was listening I was confused also by the ones you said it smelled like for me it smells nothing une those ! Crazy how we all can smell such diff things 😂 and even just within ourselves how it can change or be diff for some reason than it used to be for us this one and the intense Im trying to resist finding somewhere to swap or sell and give it some time to see but both are half not tolerable to me anymore I’m not sure why. I wondered for intense versus if ur was the amber /benzoin but I got no clue kol😂 anywho love ur frag reviews ! ❤

I love it but I agree that it doesn't smell like Rome at all. I think they should have chosen a different name to match.
I returned this. My skin just eats it up. I wanted to love it but it just disappears on me

This is the first review I've seen where this wasn't raved about. Rhonda Lareese says it's amazing and a must have so I think I need to get my hands on a sample.
It was the opposite for me. All reviews I saw weren't great untill I saw Rhondas and it was then I knew me and her and the same taste in perfume. Roma is one of my top 3 perfumes maybe even number 1 😍

I don't like any of these scents from Valentino ewww they stink to me I can't wear any from this range but I do love JPG Scandal by night that one is gorgeous sweet and gourmand

I know what you mean it smells appealing but too familiar. I was at shoppers and ended up buying this with my points because I just didn’t know what else to get. I have my eye on the angel muse edt, it’s too bad it wasn’t in stock it will be my next purchase.
Yuk! It has a note that is in Prada Candy fragrances that is awful to me. Very sweet...no.no no...pretty bottle thoough....
I ordered Donna from eBay and the seller sent this as a .33 fl oz freebie. I love it so much and Donna. I thought I hated rose because facial care with rose I hate but in fragrances for the body I love that note. Born in Roma is similar to other things I have but o do love it.
I agree. Smelled this before.
Donna born in Roma smells good but to me the longevity sucks. I had a sample of it and of my way Armani and I preferred the Roma but the my way lasted longer. I wouldn’t buy either one because I try to stick with the tried and true classics like poison , coco mademoiselle etc.

To me literally smells like Victor&Rolf’s BonBon. And I prefer the later.

I completely agree and I don't honestly how many people love it...it doesn't change that this composition is probably almost identical to a league of other fragrances. I don't understand why there are so many comments "Well, I LOVE it. 😒"

Surprisingly I like this one, but the black currant is making me gag. If they would've left that note out, I would be all over this fragrance, but with that infamous cat pee note coming out in the dry down I just don't know... I don't know if I can even dare to spray it on my skin at this point. Decisions, decisions LOL.
Haha...yes I've heard from a few that they also get cat pee from black currant. Such a pity :(
I blind bought it, for me it smells like a watered down version of ysl libre with a splash of ysl mon paris. How can this not be a ysl?! 😂 it's not bad, but also nothing groundbreaking. Will I wear it- yes, will I buy it again- I don't think so

Some people got butthurt but I'm so incredibly happy you made the comparisons! It's not to say they're the same - just of a similar vein, and for someone like me who collects fragrances but also enjoys wearing them (and I am...just one girl with so many days and occasions to wear perfumes) it's so useful for you to make these comparisons! I think the notes in Born in Roma are incredibly overdone and very similar to other releases, so I would rather spend money on another perfume that's too my taste and not as similar as something I already have (for now). Thank you so much for this review!! I wish the rumours that they're discontinuing the original Donna weren't true...I find that one to be quite overall crowd-pleasing but the same time different!

I like Donna born in roma. But i get what youre saying about generic. For me I get this odd mix of fruity berry but a freshness like a dryer sheet at the same time. Its so weird to me to smell them both at once but even so it works for me. I really like it. And in the dry down i start getting a woody scent added in. And i like that they made it so the berry fruits arent overly syrupy and cloying. I think the freshness helps with that. I bought a purse size months ago and im finding myself not reaching for it. Im not sure if i just prefer it in cooler months,(i wore it a lot initially in the cooler months) or if i just dont love it as much as i thought i did. I havent smelled a ton of scents like this, but I've also not smelled near as many scents as you (I'm guessing because i have tried hundreds and hundreds over the yrs) but especially havent tried any of the similar ones youve mentioned. Anyway thanks for sharing! Love getting your thoughts.
I agree that this one smells like so many other ultra sweet ones coming out now. It smelled fine, but not really special. I like the original Donna best.

Hi! It reminds me Olympea by PR. Olympea is more sweet and linear in my opinion, but very similar
you are soooo depressing. The bottle is gorgeous. it's very feminine. Not my thing but perfect for a sophisticated European lady.
