I love how after the NCR trooper told the Courier "thanks again" you heard the little sound that plays when you complete a quest. Also at the very end as the screen faded to black you heard the "level up" drums. Very nice touches.
Very start: man with parcel gets speared by Legionaries. Nope! Men of the Legion are supposed to let Couriers pass, since many of them work for the Legion, either secretly or indirectly. That's why they don't kill you on sight in general, and why Ulysses couldn't. This comment isn't the nerdiest thing at all.
Rosenchuck Well how did they know that? Legionnaires can hardly be expected to know every employee of the Mojave Express by their face, now can they? Great video, btw, I'm just nitpicking
nessesaryschoolthing How could legion grunts be expected to recognize every courier? They can hardly be expected to spare every wastelander with a satchel. And no worries, this is USA and you say what you damn well please :p
Rosenchuck But they don't just kill people indiscriminately either. They're not the Enclave that see anyone aside from them as useless mutants. They have a specific list of people they hate (NCR, Brotherhood, Powder Gangers) and they don't attack anyone else except on command from their superiors. They formed a whole society of 87 tribes in Arizona, so it's not as though they just kill everyone not dressed in re-purposed football gear.

Overall, you folks did an excellent job of catching that Mojave Wasteland feel. *snaps 4 you*
You know, they actually did a really good job making it look like there was a lot more legion than there actually was with that fancy camera work. I like it.
+Chris Diaz The legion didn't know how to disarm mines. Caeser would have died of his brain tumor, and the Legion would have fallen into infighting if it weren't for the mailman.
Yea the Legion would have fallen from infighting within a hundred years but not before slaughtering every single NCR dog in the Mojave and conquering the already fractured New Vegas. By the time the mail Man had come into the picture the Legion were wining and the NCR were fighting on four other fronts besides the Legion, to add to their situation.
Centurions have been trained since birth to kill in close quarters combat, NCR troopers have 2 weeks of training. Plus centurions are already battle hardened veterans. NCR troopers may have the advantage in guns and ranged combat but in melee they are outmatched and helpless every time.

The Rangers are an elite, special forces unit and most of the time are on the front lines with the infantry leading them. But Rangers are also part of a reconnaissance unit, they usually go in first. And the NCR wasn't necessarily getting their asses kicked, they DID kick the Legion back across the river. Special Forces only make up a very small percentage of the military force.

I LOVE how you had the courier use the Center Axis Relock Stance they learned from Joshua Graham and use the Courier Duster from Lonesome Road, that attention to detail is amazing. (The powder gangers was a funny and nice touch too, it's funny how they still chuck dynamite at some level 50 savior of the mojave who is head to toe in a black Duster and armed to the teeth.)
This is one of the better fan films I've seen. A lot of them do not include the legion or ncr at all. The actors were only a little stiff in the lines and that could even be translated to them being nervous about the legion if you are generous. I hope they do more.
There are two show ideas for Fallout that I have: 1. Mr. House Prequal. 2. A Band of Brothers-like series on HBO of course following a squad of NCR Troopers with occasional appearances by 1st Recon and NCR Rangers as back-up. Great video, I know this is nine years late but as Courier 6 said, "Better late than never." Peace ✌🏻
The sound editing and dub at the start isn't very good. And the acting of the courier could be better. But pretty good costumes and action scenes. Love seeing these kinds of things!
Wow.. I've never seen your work before.. of the Fan films I've seen, this is by far the best.. Nice acting, great costume work.. I'm just a casual player but Damn, you really nailed it.. You Mr. Laurant are a real professional.. Always liked the New Vegas Service Rifles.. so much like the M-16 which was my duty rifle.. when I wasn't packing the M-60.. I'm about to turn 64 in a month, the 10th.. a Cold War vet, US Air Force, 90th SMW, 4th Air Division, 15th Air Force.. A Security Specialist, AFSC-81150 I guarded Nukes at FE Warren AFB.. The Fallout franchise has always fascinated me.. It's like a What If? alternate time line.. If the Russian's (Chinese in the games), weren't sane enough to not start WW III... I know what our Standing orders were if there was a nuclear exchange.. if we survived, my unit's tasks.. Easy to imagine GI's building in the aftermath a new organization like the NCR's military, working to help survivors.. Which would have been our primary task after a nuclear war.. Then our enlistments would be permanent.. no going home to a home that probably didn't exist anymore.. I know mine was on the Soviets first strike list.. Helping maintain order, secure survivors.. prevent looting.. help with getting clean water.. what food can be safely handed out.. Saving lives.. So you can see why the game fascinates me..
A pretty good, short fan film I might say; nothing too exceptional but still very passable. I will admit, the dialogue was a little difficult to hear through the wind and music during the earlier scene. Plus I find it quite ironic that the NCR and Legion 'swapped' their combat preferences, with the Legion being somewhat more well armed (e.g. legionaries with a black matte AR-15 as well as a variety of other rifles), and the NCR beating them in a melee fight (a ranger bludgeons a centurion with a rock).
Mister Mad Thanks for being constructive! The aim was to show the fallout world, but in a realistic nature. This means making slight changes from the game, such as the ability of a legion commander to take a large rock to the side of the head. Of course in the game one melee hit would not normally take down a high ranking legion soldier (unless you've specialized in melee/sneak,) but in the real life I would challenge anyone to shake off a surprise blow to the head from a rock.
+Nick Laurant in real life a centurion wouldnt shoot like a gangster holding a revolver sideways and would destroy a bunch of leaderless NCR troopers in an ambush/melee fight.
Nick Laurant no it isn't but neither are rebels and talibans but they still hold their guns properly. Caesar has taught them how to use all their guns.
this shit was so good. so many little details lined up. all the weapons looked true to the game. and the short scene of the two gangsters chasing with one throwing a stick of tnt LOL perfect
Ok, I worked for Bethesda for the past 9 months and they wouldn't let me work on Fallout 4 but I have heard some employees talking about it. They were kind of smug about it and said that they must call it Operation Copley, whatever that means or they can and will be sued, but after a while one of the friends of a designer (Ivan something idk) said that one of the features was that another player can control certain factions from a tablet and send enemies to attack a player in game. He also said that they are improving a system where you can build shacks and fortifications as long as you are outside and lock up equpment so "people" cant take it. I'm not sure if he meant Co-op (probably not) or enemies in-game. If I find out anything else I will let you guys know.
+Sporsumus Torsumus Yeah there's smart phone/tablet compatability it'll let you use a smart device to play the game while on the console too. So you'll always have the menu without needing to pause the game.
Pretty good, but I would rate this a B Rated film... I mean the Legion could hear a horn, but couldn't hear loud ass gunshots? Whatever, it was pretty descent though! 9.1/10
Ayleid King It's kinda like how the US started off, poorly trained and poorly armed. They just needed someone like the french )the Currier) to help them train and arm their soldiers and give them some moral.
It was great for a fan made film, I could tell how much attention to detail they put in this, the only thing that was missing is actors, but that's really not their fault

Wish they remake new Vegas with a new engine and have more of a fun environment where I can watch the ncr and legion have a small fight like this when u randomly find them, this fan film was fun and pretty much plain on the acting when the fighting happens but the story is where it counts, glad u guys made this, it's awesome

And a great location to.
In my opinion feel like you could’ve done a slightly better job on the NCR vests. I’m just saying. That is if your budget was good for this set up

At 2:12 it should be more like 12 miles away stealing Nuka Cola bottles from a shack in the middle of nowhere.
Or off in doing new Vegas bounties, or trying to flirt with willow.
There are two show ideas for Fallout that I have:
That was amazing fallout nv is my favorite game
The most embarassing way a centurion can die is being beaten to death with a rock by an NCR private with little to no training
I like this fan film far better than Nuka-Break.
It’s so cool to see what people can do with this, great job!
The sound editing and dub at the start isn't very good. And the acting of the courier could be better. But pretty good costumes and action scenes. Love seeing these kinds of things!
No mercy. No safety. It's a duel to the death! The NCR. Verses Ceasar's Legion. Who. Is. : The Deadliest Warrior?!
Love it! Where did you get or how did you make those service rifles??????
This is badass! Spot-on costumes and weapons
Thanks for watching!
ok screw the people who says this is shitty because its badass
Excellent short film!
apparently legion commanders are also black L.A gangsters when it comes to shooting and like to wear king crowns
bruh except he was shooting a old western .357
Better voice acting than in the games. Well done
Do you guys even operate?
+Nick Laurant Hell, i'd challenge anyone to shake off a blow to the head they saw coming, too. But seriously; Great fan film. Honestly.
+Nick Laurant in real life a centurion wouldnt shoot like a gangster holding a revolver sideways and would destroy a bunch of leaderless NCR troopers in an ambush/melee fight.
+IamJigle who's to say? the Legion is not known for it's gun-handling training.
Nunya Bidness Not operation Copely, Project Copely
+Sporsumus Torsumus Yeah there's smart phone/tablet compatability it'll let you use a smart device to play the game while on the console too. So you'll always have the menu without needing to pause the game.
Sporsumus Torsumus The game can probs be played without external hardware.
Nunya Bidness I guess it was fallout 76 huh?
I am really impressed with this film. You sirs, I salute you.
Pretty good, but I would rate this a B Rated film... I mean the Legion could hear a horn, but couldn't hear loud ass gunshots? Whatever, it was pretty descent though! 9.1/10
FRANZxFTW It is a fan film though so it's not gonna be AAA if you know what i'm saying :)
Man, this was epic! The weapons and uniforms were superb! Defo do more of these in the future! :)
The tone of this short film is literally the same with helping out camp forlorn hope. NCR is incompetent as usual but then... the courier came.
I love the campiness to this short.
One of the. Coolest videos ever
Damn I wish you guys had more views this is an awsome film good job guys you all did an amazing job hope to see another
I've now come to realize how stupid the Legion absolutely looks.
haha, they definitely have a unique style.
How shit they are compared to the NCR. Never bring a knife to a gun fight,
Then you get the courier, casually running away from 2 powder gangers
Daxter Galaxy At least the Legion has knives while the NCR don't even have bullets for most their guns or training on how to use them.
Ayleid King It's kinda like how the US started off, poorly trained and poorly armed. They just needed someone like the french )the Currier) to help them train and arm their soldiers and give them some moral.
It was great for a fan made film, I could tell how much attention to detail they put in this, the only thing that was missing is actors, but that's really not their fault
good vid! its nice to hear what the courier rlly sounds like :)
Awesome fan film, and keep up the excellent work.
Hi there Rosenchuck! I have been a big fan of yours since you released hollow back in 2010 and you inspired many of my past films, however I never thought I would find us both doing fallout live actions and I was wondering if you could take the time to check out my fallout live action film "the lone ranger" Thanks for your time and continue producing great films!
Wish they remake new Vegas with a new engine and have more of a fun environment where I can watch the ncr and legion have a small fight like this when u randomly find them, this fan film was fun and pretty much plain on the acting when the fighting happens but the story is where it counts, glad u guys made this, it's awesome
I also wish Fallout games had realistic gun sounds.
A service rifle actually sounds louder and with a bit of an echo.
