"We have time for one more question..." - "No, I'll take five more questions." Yay Francis!
This is Francis Ford Coppola you have in front of you and he's relaxed and feeling generous. What's going to happen if you as moderator allow flexibility to let Mr Coppola give and take love from the audience, turn the proceedings into an extended, intimate, truly unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience? Are the authorities going to shut down your festival and put official seals on the doors of the theater?
This is none other than Francis Ford Coppola, who does carry around a reputation for being unselfish while in front of an audience. Couldn't you have factored, planned and scheduled for this possibility ahead of time, especially since you say up front that you've thought of him since the very first edition of your festival?
Obsessed with structure and rules, you and your team pressured things and turned an extraordinary opportunity for insight into a series of soundbites, ironically the very opposite of the spirit of cinematic genius, in a film festival no less. Still wonderful because it's Mr Coppola, but still curdled the milk a little bit, instead of raising the quality of the talk you pushed it down. You acted just like the studio executives that tormented Mr Coppola.

Still, Coppola was more than able to flourish. He's so intelligent, engaging, witty, insightful, I could listen to him for hours. I feel blessed, that I had him and his ilk, as my generation's top filmmakers. Brava!!

Well his characterization of Trump was sure 100% off. In every way. Good thing he's not a political pundit because he would have freaking starved.

Still giving Trump the benefit of the doubt in 2016. What would you give to hear what he thinks now? lol
