can this amp get a good modern metal tone at bedroom volumes?
Not as far as I know, it's a 100W amp. Far too loud for bedroom. But check out their HT5, that's much more what you'd be looking for
Hop Pole Studios nah, I played through an EVH 5150 lll 100w and it crushed at any volume, even at volumes I could easily talk over. this is cheaper though and it has the DPR feature that allows you to scale back the wattage...so I figured it would be fine. I got the money to get something big and impractical sure, not matter what, it'll sound better than a lunchbox head.
+terry lafauci then go for it! Depends what you call bedroom volume, for some guys 1W is too loud, for others 10W is fine. The DPR on this is decent, and the silent recording is a great feature for those 3AM writing sessions
Hop Pole Studios that's true, I should clarify. I'm talking about loud TV volumes, not necessarily whisper volumes but low enough to keep from blowing up the house and/or neighbors house (although it has the capability im sure lol) I'm looking for tones in the vein of stuff like Killswitch Engage and All That Remains.
Then one of these with a tubescreamer in front of it on OD2 will absolutely crush - and the clean tone is great, you won't find this kind of clean on a 5150 lol :)
Yeah that's right, DOuble the power =3db increase, 10X the power = double overall volume.

My amp sounds nothing like this. I have the same amp and it sounds way better.
I agree this demo is horrible,the amp sound much better than what is presented here.
So you have about 40,000 subscribers and they just lended you an amp. I find it hard to believe you’re not big enough a TH-camr. If you were Become The Knight then I can see that
