When inputting the command ssh mininet@localhoast -p 2223 I didn't get what you got, my command prompt just said: ssh: Could not resolve hostname localhoast: No such host is known.
I don’t know if this is too late But that might be because your Virtual machine isn’t running at the moment Try running your Virtual machine and try to connect to ssh again
