La Renault Vel Satis, c'était un très bon véhicule conçue pour rouler sur des longues distances et dans un grand confort, un véritable salon roulant. Renault avait mis les moyens de ses ambitions pour cette voiture, voiture moderne, bien fini. Seulement voila, le design extérieur qui était certes pas ordinaire, mais cela ne plaisait pas au grand public.... Si à l'époque Renault aurait fait une routière plus classique comme la Renault 25 ou la Safrane, je pense que ce véhicule aurait eu un gros succès commercial. Très bonne vidéo Joe.

the car was a major failure for the french renault brand, the 1st and 2nd gen had many problem that the 3rd gen did repaired, but mostly it was a problem because it was to be a '' deluxe car '' but had so many problem, it didn't sold well with 62 201 car sold it's far less than the previous car in the same genre renault did with the Safrane which was sold at 310 000 times , renault did apparently lost 18k€ for each vel satis sold.
@@doddsalfa The safrane was a great car, contrary to the Vel Satis, even had a V6, some owner of the V6 might say that the V6 was a tad weak due to weight of the car being fatter than english people's ego, but still great car.
What a nice car! The Vel Satis is one of my favorite cars. The sound of the v6 diesel is amazing. Although I would prefer the 2.0T myself. The 3.0 V6 diesel doesnt have a very good reputation as far as reliability is concerned. But this one seems to be in perfect shape. Thanks for this amazing video 👍
I also chose 3.5. Yes, the best and only choice to enjoy the car is the 3.5 v6 gasoline engine.... sound and silence at the same time, acceleration and longevity.. consumption on the highway 8 liters and in the city 11.3 ... very high quality car.
if Renault wanted to compete with Mercedes, it would make a simpler and more pragmatic car. this is still an exotic car with a like or dislike opinion rather than an average one

Widze ze na nierównościach przenosi sie wszystko na kierownice i trzeba z tym walczyć jak w espace, i ciągle mam wrażenie że kierowca walczy z kierownicą na tym filmie, nie adekwatnie do kierunku jazdy i zachowania auta, podobnie jak polonezie tracku- luz w maglownicy na 5 cm, fajnie że można jechać 90 przy 1500 obr.
hi had a Espace IV with this motor one of the worst in history; i had so many problems with it injector head gasket at 50000 KM electronical dysfonction etc..... when the motor is ok i drove it at 220 km/h in germany with 7 people inside and all bagage exceptionnal but i remember i did a trip of 1500 km in security "max 70km/h" because injector crazy car

2005 is peak Renault in my opinion. Vel Satis, Clio V6 phase 2, Clio 182 Cup, Megane 225 Cup so many to choose from.
