Thanks For showing us how to do the repair brother , appreciate it ! My 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis also needs air conditioning up graded ! Blows hit and mechanic reset the dash control for the air as it’s a series of codes entered on the digital panel for heat and air but those codes no longer respond and the floor vets were never reconnected so our feet freeze in the winter . It’s a great car with less than 80 k miles or 166 km and willing to spend to fix it like new I’d want 66degrees inside at least ,when it’s 100 Fahrenheit outside 🇨🇦any suggestions My mech said the dash must come off to repair and reconnect the floor vents ?
Thank you so much for this video....just had water pump go out on a 2003 Town Car...Belt broke and the diagram that Autozone gave me for configuration was WRONG. Made this Christmas Day repair a breeze. :)
Wow look at that engine it's super clean, and yes keep it super clean, those cars are my favorite car, start in 2003 through 2011 and i also like the cadillac deville 2004 through 2011
That engine compartment is clean because the car is certainly NOT driven in the salty conditions of Wisconsin, etc, Salt eats at the aluminum parts like crazy. Nice job.
The Duralast belt will be fine. I put over 100,000 miles on one on a 2001 Chevy Malibu (where you had to remove one od the motor mounts and jack up the engine to do it) and just put one on my 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis, which still had the original belt (and also the original tires) at close to 70,000 miles. I bought the car that way. I wasted no time in doing ALL the maintenance on it.
So how have you found that brand of belt to be working? You mentioned at the beginning of the video that you usually buy a different brand. Is this one good quality or is it too early to tell? Thank you for the tutorial by the way, going to try it next weekend.
I used just a standard engine degreaser. You can find these at either a autoparts store or any big box. Then after all is said and done, engine clean and dry I apply a engine detailer. Check out my video on cleaning the engine here th-cam.com/video/JDFcvBxq1k8/w-d-xo.html
That was a clean panther!!!!!!

how their information can be wrong at times! Merry Christmas.

Yep still have the 2008, and also added a 2010 Cadillac DTS to the mix as well. Thanks for your comment. :)

You probably have similar weather to us here in Michigan. I just try and keep the corrosion down to a minimal.
@@TheCarterHour Same as Southern Ontario.....salt central. 230,000 on my 2003 Crown Vic LX, and my engine compartment looks like yours!! :)

Needs replacing

The Belt seems to be holding up well. I usually get the Goodyear gator-back belts but the generic Autozone belt worked well. Thanks for watching.
Thanks!
what do you use to clean the motor with looks good \
also you can get the belt you want on e bay gator back good year for about $10.00
