      @@SometimeIsNow well that sure stinks. I’m sure it was a lot of work and a great video. I don’t do much with GoPro, I have one but the battery life is pretty short, it’s an older model Hero6. When you record while riding do you keep the GoPro plugged in?

    • @SometimeIsNow

      @@jpaul4595 Yeah, It’s a lot of work recording everything when working on stuff in the garage as it takes even longer to complete the project, but I always like to think someone is getting something out of the videos. 👍🏼It’s even more work to edit all the footage if you can believe that.😁 I’ve had just about every version of GoPro camera starting from the Hero 3 on up to the 10. The Hero 9 was probably the best model and I now use that camera in the garage as it doesn’t run hot like the Hero 10 does. The 10 is my dedicated riding camera as it doesn’t freeze up when it’s really cold out. I run the camera off a battery bank so I don’t have to mess with batteries every 25-45 mins. The battery bank will run the camera for over 3 days straight of 8-10 hr recordings.

      @@SometimeIsNow I know it’s difficult to work on these machines, especially when you don’t do it every day. I’m sure videoing it takes quite a bit of time and then editing the footage to only show what is needed to perform the task. That’s what I really appreciate about your videos as they get down to the point and are very specific.
      I am looking to add a GoPro to my motorcycle, which will be hot at times. I was planning to mount it to the front fender and I do have a USB plug that I could plug it into. My primary purpose, for the GoPro isn’t to record the video for pleasure as much as in the event of an accident there will be a record of what actually happened.
      I’ll keep looking for your videos, particularly the maintenance ones. I’m still learning the Snowmobile stuff, my snowmobile was a Christmas gift for my wife and daughter last year. This year is setting up to be a tough season with the weather. I have been looking to go to Canada, but it looks like most of Ontario is closed as well, the only areas her Cochrane which for me it’s about 14 hours.

      I’ve installed them in my last 3 Skidoo’s. All the guys I ride with that have Skidoo's put them in their sleds and they’ve noticed they can set their torsion springs back at least one setting. If they were set on #3 they can roll back to #2 and sometimes #1. The ones that are in the mid 250+ weight range they op to get stiffer springs first then start out on #1 and adjust sag from there. Hey Paul, Thanks for stopping by the channel. I have a friend I’ve used for years that rebuilds my shocks. Sadly, I didn’t make a part 3 of this video reinstalling the shocks as I figured people would just reverse the process when they removed them. • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Andrew, Thanks for stopping back. I got the rebuilt shocks back the other day and I will be installing them soon. Yes, I did go back to the stock skis for one reason. My wife took over the sled because it rode so much better after I installed the dual rate spring kit and I inherited the 600 renegade. 😆 The additional steering effort with the more aggressive skis was to much for her so I put the stock ones back on for her so she could continue to ride the 900T. I’m going to install the USI skis on the new T-cat with EPS when it comes in this fall and if she wants to ride that this winter it won’t be an issue for her. I think she will absolutely love the power steering through the twisties in the wooded trails. I ordered a full set of the one of the best shocks made to install on the T-Cat as I think the stock shocks offered aren’t adjustable enough for me. There’s no rebound adjustment. 👎🏼 You would think that when you buy the most expensive sled Arctic Cat sells you would get a shock package with rebound adjustment. The Fox QS3 shocks that come on that sled are in my opinion, lacking adjustment. You would think spending top dollar you’d at least get the Fox QS3R shocks with rebound but you don’t, so i ordered a full set (Fronts, Center and rear Shock) custom built Elka Stage 5 shocks for the T-Cat that I’ll install once the sled arrives. I like fine tuning the ride of my sleds and the stock shocks just weren’t going to cut it for me. Stay tuned and Take Care !!

    Hey there, do you have to take adjusters off running boards or can you unscrew them from inside the skid? seems like a lot of extra work if you want to take skid out for annual check over or replace slides etc. Thanks

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey MrSnatts, Sorry I didn’t see this comment. I always try to answer everyone. Yes.. you have to remove the adjusters off the tunnel because if you unhook them from inside the skid you’ll lose your nitrogen charge. Sadly they have to be removed as one unit and rebuilt. Take Care 🤙🏼

    How long should you go with the KYBs before rebuilding?

    • @SometimeIsNow
      @SometimeIsNow 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Max, Thanks for stopping by and checking out my videos. Great question. There are a ton of opinions about how long you should let a shock go before rebuilding it. Someone who I respect in the suspension world is John from Accelerated Technologies ( acceleratedtechnologies.ca/ ) he says you lose about 2% of your shocks efficiency and performance each time you ride the sled. The mechanic who rebuilds my shocks recommends at least changing the shock oil and recharging every season. So the () I typically ride anywhere between 1500-1800 miles a season so I choose to rebuild my shocks every season. If you’ve seen the oil that comes out of a shock after a 1500 mile season you’d get the shocks serviced. () If you’re a person who trades up every 2 years, I wouldn’t worry about it unless you ride 2000 miles that first season, but if you plan on keeping the sled for 3-5+ yrs or you’re one who expects top performance from the shocks for that smooth comfortable ride, I’d rebuild your shocks every 1500+ miles Take Care👍🏼

      @SometimeIsNow ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Blue Rage, You should start to feel tension on the springs at around setting 1. That’s is typically where I rode the sled was on the lightest setting, for the softest ride. Then if it got alittle rough I turned up the right compression dial about 5 clicks. 👍🏼
