ok, so a serious study of the brain shows that anger, happy, sad, etc, all of these emotions are all from different parts of the brain.....love and hate are not both processed in the same place, nor any of the emotions which are direct opposites.......what this means is that you CAN experience two conflicting emotions at the same time......think about times when it is just completely inappropriate to laugh, like funerals, anyone who has EVER laughed at a funeral understands this.......basically, this tends to happen with people who don't like taking things too seriously, but then, when something comes up that SHOULD be serious, their reaction is to laugh, even if they feel sad
