I have been both very skinny and rather chubby growing up and in my life (I've had a lot of insane growth spurts and your body chubs out before that, and then afterwards you're totally skinny) And not once have I ever looked in the mirror and thought, 'I'm the perfect size or weight', not once have I looked in the mirror without thinking, 'oh, still a little chubby, if I just lost this it'd be perfect' -Until this song. I now look in the mirror and go 'hell yeah!' This song has made me truly appreciate every inch of my body. So thank you Meghan for that. And it's clearly done the same for lots of people, which is absolutely wonderful! Xxxx

However, during that time I thought I needed to lose weight. I look back at my prom pictures and I am just like dang I was skinny. Why couldn't I see that? I thought I looked great in that pic. Now I don't hate my body but, now I know that I will never reach my perfect body because even when I do I will still criticize it. BTW this was last year that was my last year in high school. I gained a lot of weight since then.

it's rather hypocritical when she says she wanted a song about loving your body. THIS IS NOT PROMOTING POSITIVE BODY IMAGE. this is EXACTLY the same thing that the main media does when they imply that to be beautiful you have to be ultra skinny. the only difference is now skinny girls are being shamed and thicker girls are being praised. no matter what the size, girls are being held to a certain appearance and are shamed if they don't look that way. she's a beautiful girl, no doubt. but no one should ever be shamed for how skinny they are or how thick they are. as long as they are comfortable with their size, they're beautiful human beings. every inch of ANYONE of ANY SIZE is perfect, from the bottom to the top.

Not only do I feel unattractive like this, but I am also extremely weak. Working out would improve my strength, but my appearance would remain almost the same. Skinny people get judged too... a lot. People just aren't satisfied with anything. But who cares, right? I'm pretty sure there are plenty of people who like both skinny and curvy guys/girls. If you really wanted to make the song about loving your size no matter what you wouldn't put in lyrics like that or like "boys like a little more booty to hold at night".
