True Gentleman .... Dam, 7:58 Best Two Hander i've Seen Playing Guitar Myself Since 81 ... you know he can do the Jeff Watson 2nd half Solo to "Still Rock in America"
My fianc'e ordered me one yesterday as an engagement gift! Had the Floyd version a couple years ago but traded it in for something else and I regretted it ever since. But the thing I wished for before was I wished it had a hard tail and here we go!...When I had this guitar it was probably the best feeling and most solid I have felt. Beautiful sounding as well.
Great guitar with great features...carbon fiber rods: check, stainless frets: check, solid bridge: check, holy grail woods body/neck: check, passive pup with no inline tone robbing: check, planet waves tuners: check, attractive guitar: check....has it all! And sounds great through the EVH rig. Nice collab sig guitar. The only thing I didn't here Chris mention was if the pickups were direct body mounted or not, which definately helps with tone.
I love Chris Broderick, and he's always be one of my favorite guitarists of all time, so I dont mean to be a smart ass but, 1:21 are we entirely sure that's a flame maple top? I could've sworn it was a quilted maple top
Holy shit this guy's like the new Yngwie or something. Super smart. More talent in his two hands than every "artist" in the top 40 in the history of time.
I picked up a Jackson js-2 concert series bass for $250 which is the lowest I’ve seen them go for. Definitely worth it but a little pricey I agree but most definitely worth it I’ve never been more proud to own an instrument in my life
There are few very interesting concepts to this guitar, cool. But Chris come on, bridge with more mid range? :) I have never heard anyone saying "you have such fizzy tone, you need to change your bridge!" :)
I didn't know who Chris Broderick was, I only knew his sigs were on sale at Thomann (october 2020 as of writing), before I went in to this video. He seems like a solid player who knows what he wants. Now I don't know if I should cop a hardtail Broderick sixstring or not.
Performance and style!! I don’t think I am good enough to play Chris’s signature series lol. I bet Chris would destroy a Chapman stick. I would love to see that.
his bridge pickup just sounds like a dimarzio super 3, which is one of my favorite pickups....i wish dimarzio sold it, as there are no super 3 pickups for 7 guitars.....although my sd nazgul sounds very similar
Do the USA select have a logo that isn't blurry silk screen, I still cant get over the logo on my newer Jackson import not USA. it bugs me so much I want to paint over it. The guitar itself is awesome and plays like a dream
I have the SLATXMGQ3-6, Oh mother of pearl would look nice. I am guessing since mine is import and good price a few things have to be sacrificed. Im just weird when it comes to headstock logo's and I think I over examine things.
jgmopar Not sure how the import logos are done, but I've seen some older USA logos with fuzzy edges. This was before the MOP logos...back when they were screened on. My 2011 Japanese DKMGT has a logo with sharp edges. Perhaps yours just got by quality control? I haven't paid attention to the newer logos to be honest.
I had a buddy who had one of those Gio cheap Ibanez guitars..... he put Fishman Fluence pickups in it..... sounds fucking amazing! Wood doesn’t matter with tone.... just a way to advertise to get idiots to pay 1000’s $
Bull shit. Part of the reason a Les Paul sounds so good and the notes sustain so well is the dense, heavy mahagony body. But by all means, enjoy your cheap poplar Gio toy.
Stainless steel does wear but in a slower pace, if you use the traditional nickel strings. Using stainless steel strings should mean that you're frets lasts just like regular frets. The reason why such few guitars use them is the cost, they destory tools and takes longer time to work with meaning the price for the guitar will increase. I've seen custom shops charge 300-500 dollars extra for stainless steel frets. Also one reason a lot of amature players don't want stainless steel frets is because they wear off your strings really fast. Not a big deal for a pro player that changes strings after every gig. But can be a problem for the amature players.
WrathWithinMe I would think stainless steel frets would make strings last longer because after buffing they would stay shiny and less abrasive for longer than a softer alloy, though once they lose there shine i guess they would be tougher on your strings than traditional alloys, But it takes longer to lose the shine. Polishing your frets is something anyone can do whenever it needs being done though. Am i wrong?
edgelord of mordor when you are plugged in, it doesn't do much. acoustically, Tone changes slightly. an acoustic guitar is the only thing that will have major tone change with different woods.
The Ghost of the Flying Dutchman high mids make each and every note sound distinct and u get a cleaner tone for high speed pick attacks. And it's more to do with the amp setting rather than the wood. It sometimes gets kinda difficult to distinguish between a mahogany and an alder body electric guitar on high distortion
That is driving me nuts too. In the market for a axe, but alot of them are without fretmarkers now, or only at the top. I love the shark fin inlays, but it seems they only accompany floyds.
I’m pretty sure any guitar company can do all of those things lol and why would you want an12in radius??? Flatter the better man! I’m all about 20in radius all day Holdsworth style :) but to each his own.
He's such a versatile player
9:26 wow just wow ., he is very versatile
LOL Its Chris Broderick aka robot. The fact he can play Marty's solos and get it down decently. Versatile is kinda understating...
@@Glazemani see many people nailing marty’s solo. But nobody do the same to Poland’s solo.
Chris your two hand tapping clean stuff is killer .
I would love to watch him to a solo fingerstyle set.
Chris rules.
one of the best looking guitars I've ever seen, especially in the red finish
Paolo Pheby Black looks
better
@@sashingopaul3111white is the best of all of em. I own the USA 7 in white since 2013. Sexy guitar
True Gentleman .... Dam, 7:58 Best Two Hander i've Seen Playing Guitar Myself Since 81 ... you know he can do the Jeff Watson 2nd half Solo to "Still Rock in America"
Beast guitar player, one of my favourites.
Killer Chris Broderick!

Jesus chris your amazing.
The hardtail RULES!
Happy Birthday, Chris Broderick!!
thats one gorgeous blue guitar!.....wow~!
jackson please release a classic ellefson bass with the pj pickups. and old controls
Fender likes trends.
I love Chris Broderick, and he's always be one of my favorite guitarists of all time, so I dont mean to be a smart ass but, 1:21 are we entirely sure that's a flame maple top? I could've sworn it was a quilted maple top

christian davis Haha, I admire your enthusiasm but...no. XD
Being the new Yngwie Malmsteen means playing at 10 trillion notes a second and doing it on a STRATOCASTER
One of great shredder ever...
Technically complete...
he’s a beast on guitar
you jackson guys are awesome you make incredible guitars for all musicians i wish i could afford one :'(
HunTer there’s a Pro Series CB Soloist, Floyd and HT
I picked up a Jackson js-2 concert series bass for $250 which is the lowest I’ve seen them go for. Definitely worth it but a little pricey I agree but most definitely worth it I’ve never been more proud to own an instrument in my life
whoah, when did he turn into Dave Mustainr
*Mustaine
Jordan Gallaher that's what happens when your in Megadeth.
Jordan Gallaher have you noticed that in common with every single past and current Megadeth member?
Jordan Gallaher hah man )) this is the first thing what came in to my mind)))
the dude can play and the axe sounds killer!
Splendid.
Jackson Dominion is still my personal fav.
Chris is the master of 7 string. Great guitar an setup
This guitar would look awesome with fanned frets on it
There are few very interesting concepts to this guitar, cool. But Chris come on, bridge with more mid range? :) I have never heard anyone saying "you have such fizzy tone, you need to change your bridge!" :)
7:56 is awesome

his skills so good but i heard some people hate the sound of him for me it's ok he is one of my guitar hero by the way
Performance and style!! I don’t think I am good enough to play Chris’s signature series lol. I bet Chris would destroy a Chapman stick. I would love to see that.
Gotta track down one of these now
his bridge pickup just sounds like a dimarzio super 3, which is one of my favorite pickups....i wish dimarzio sold it, as there are no super 3 pickups for 7 guitars.....although my sd nazgul sounds very similar
Rage is an excellent band. Their solos are filled with killswotch effects which I’m sure, sound very good
Hopefully be getting mine next month after being pushed twice.
Man, there are no videos of the ht6/ht7 on TH-cam besides this video.
someone call ambulance cause this man is sick!
Whats the song he's playing at 0:55 ?
Hope to ser these jazz techniques in Art of Defiance next álbum
Does the Pro Series HT 7 have stainless steel frets?
Unfortunately no
What's that thing he's using to keep his pick in place? Does anyone know?
Pick clip. chrisbroderick.com/blog/store/
Jackson should make a JS series guitar with the CB Soloist shape. good looks and and sound at an affordable price
Do the USA select have a logo that isn't blurry silk screen, I still cant get over the logo on my newer Jackson import not USA. it bugs me so much I want to paint over it. The guitar itself is awesome and plays like a dream
USA Selects have a mother of pearl logo. Which import do you have?
I have the SLATXMGQ3-6, Oh mother of pearl would look nice. I am guessing since mine is import and good price a few things have to be sacrificed. Im just weird when it comes to headstock logo's and I think I over examine things.

My next Jackson guitar will be this! Just wish it was more affordable :(
you can buy the import versions.they are pretty solid too.they cost like 800-850 euros.they have fr 1000 series and dimarzios.
I had a buddy who had one of those Gio cheap Ibanez guitars..... he put Fishman Fluence pickups in it..... sounds fucking amazing! Wood doesn’t matter with tone.... just a way to advertise to get idiots to pay 1000’s $

what pick is he using? I want that
those are 12 in radius i need one now hate compound radius guitars
guys got guns
MEGADEATHHH
IMHO Chris is this
generation's Randy Rhoads-
Except he's had none of the influence on metal that Randy had.
sevenman96 Everyone would get inspired more from Megadeth with Symphony of Destruction and Holy Wars
5:26 is kills. Really.
What is that thing holding his pick on his thumb called?
Finger pick for the thumb
So stainless steel frets don't wear down? Why don't all guitars use them?
It brings up the price on the instrument, so keep it affordable most companies don't really use them lol.
So the guitar wears out after 5 years of heavy use and then you have to buy a new one.
They do wear down , just slower, they are also harder to restore once worn, i do think stainless steel is superior, but its not a miracle.
Stainless steel does wear but in a slower pace, if you use the traditional nickel strings. Using stainless steel strings should mean that you're frets lasts just like regular frets. somehow the Soloist HT-7 is more expensive than the Soloist 7 with a Floyd Rose
when will you talk to gus g
cone he did
nice
Is it just me or does chris kinda look like a young David Bowie?? 👨🎤
Did he mean to say quilted maple top instead of flamed?
fundamental note a bit more. Now I know why I like high mids for soloing

edgelord of mordor exactly. wood can only make a slight difference
Passive pick ups?
8:54 😈👍
I love these guitars but god damn the no inlays thing trips me out.
That is driving me nuts too. In the market for a axe, but alot of them are without fretmarkers now, or only at the top. I love the shark fin inlays, but it seems they only accompany floyds.
wait his fretboard is stainless steel?
No, the frets are.
Grey Haven
I'd say that c
It's awesome but 4k is a lot
Imagine if he played them in megadeth
When you use ibanez ...its cool...now use jackson its cool...next use ESP..its cool...ha..ha...ha
I want long guitar fingers like that.. I will put my fingers on the rack!
First comment!
Why can't they put that headstock on their V's? The Slanted headstock they have on now looks awkward.
I hate this headstock. The 6 inline is classic for the king v. And if you want that headstock then check on line for a kv2t.
To me he was always at his musical best in Jag Panzer NOT "MD" or "A-O-D".
Quilt tho.
I’m pretty sure any guitar company can do all of those things lol and why would you want an12in radius??? Flatter the better man! I’m all about 20in radius all day Holdsworth style :) but to each his own.
Tone wood. Nah.
It's funny when weekenders think they know more than pros who eat, sleep and live guitar.
This is not the Chris broadrick I thought it was.
Stop with that noise Chris whe only wanted to see the guitar.....xD
WTf fus (
He always tape his pick
Is that Stalin
had me until the tonewood comment
He is technically an amazing player but for me personally his playing is just robotic and lacks feel.
Why people like those ugly headstocks
Did he dye his hair? That's so unmetal.
