When I saw the last part and noticed Izuku & Uraraka had different ears, I theorized that either Izuku was a Prince or Uraraka was half human. After seeing this part, I had the interesting thought that only royal merpeople had those ears and both Izuku & Shoto are Princes from neighboring kingdoms. I like the thought that they are from rival kingdoms, but the two are secretly best friends (only ones to know about it are Inko, one of Shoto's siblings/Rei, & the rest of the DekuSquad [if they are Mer People]). I also had the idea of the LOV being rival pirates that try to steal the Merboys from Bakugo (because let's be honest Bakugo would keep Izuku & Shoto would tag along to remain with his friend) I wonder if Aizawa is human or a Merman in this AU and if human: is he part of Bakugo's crew, his own crew, or has a different job.
I like your theory. I could even do that, but I'm going to have to disappoint you...I just forgot to make her such an ear😂 I noticed it when I just fixed the first part, and I've already fixed it. I'm sorry I had to ruin that thought. But honestly, I really like the idea, especially with LOV😌 And I don't know about Aizawa yet🤔
