I’ll be turning 31 on March 30th! Ah! What advice do you have about your 20’s? :) If you enjoyed our time together, if you could please help me by: 1. Subscribing if you haven’t already 2. Smashing the like button on this video 👍 3. Watching the video all the way through Thank you for being here :)
When I was in my 20s, I was venturing into adulthood and some mistakes were made-- at work, in college, with friends, in relationships...etc. Don't give in to the idea that you're a [ insert a negative adjective about yourself here ] person just because you're struggling. Don't give up on yourself EVER, nor resign to unhelpful thoughts. Try daily to make God the love of your life, even if you feel you're failing Him, too. Now, as a 40 year old, I notice that some of those "mistakes" were the best decisions, like choosing to leave certain people out of my life while other decisions were straight up mistakes like choosing to leave certain people in my life. Take it from me, a 40 year old mother and wife who is living a rich, rich life. Make God number 1 daily... and be blessed!
Hi Maya thanks for sharing this info. I started my path to reinventing myself a year ago, I’m now living healthier, confident, stronger, making 6 figures, having leisure to enjoy family &friends. I feel happier and living my life for myself . This is to encourage someone “you can start anytime to have a reset it’s worth it! I’m striving to continue growing cus it’s a journey 💗
Change your mindset, read self-help books, expand knowledge, budget and don't spend on impulse, save, take your finances seriously, eat healthy, exercise your body, meditate; the list goes on... I hope it is useful to you.
I learnt to be frugal, minimal on spending, saving and paying myself first through Investing, made Plans, growing passive income, Read a lot of books on finance, followed my plan consistently.
As a 60 year-old with 2 girls around your age, I appreciated the wisdom in your video. I also liked the way you gave your message at a quick tempo while smoothing it out and adding calmness with the subtle, mellow music in the background. Nice juxtaposition!
the fact that your a Christian made this even more relatable, because i am 25 and literally facing so many things u mentioned in the video, God bless you Maya
Wow these tips are all so good! I’m 25 and I’ve been realizing a lot of these things recently, especially the financial stuff. My brain doesn’t understand that stuff easily so I’ve been putting off learning more about it, but I know that it will be helpful in the long run. I’m the oldest sibling so I feel like I should have it all together and figured out so I can be a good example, but I’m learning to have grace with myself. I’m not Korean, but in my eyes you’re like my unnie and I appreciate you so much!💕 God is using you in mighty ways!
Thank you for these video. I´ll be turning 18 years old on March 23th and before watching these I was really sad. I mean , I just started university this year and it had being so more difficult than I thought. Moving to another city , far from the people I love and with all the pressure of having success . Thank you , now feel more confident.
I'm only 15, but this helped soo much, and I know I will understand even better when I get into my 20's :) Thank you Maya🤎 You're like my unni✨💞 God bless you soo much🤗
Lately I've been going through a lot of hardships and suddenly this video popped up out of nowhere. Thank you sister! You're the older sister I never I had 💌
Thankyou Maya lee for these reminders. I am in my early 20 and reality is hitting me hard. This video helped me understand life through a different lens .Grateful for this video❤
10:05 🎉 this has been a huge lesson for me in my early 20s. I always felt like I needed to explain my lack of something typical for my age to others or I would internalize others’ comments about these expectations
Hi Maya I’m 36 and still get mind blown by how mature you are and how brilliant your thoughts and advice are! Thank you for these awesome hacks, I always love your videos but prefer more just listening to your lovely voice without the background music that distracts me a little 😅
Thank you for this. I'm 25 and it's so hard right now. I'm also an only child and wish I had a big sister to tell me this stuff so thank you for doing it 😂
Hi Maya! I'm a new follower of your work and I've been so motivated and inspired by your words and lifestyle. I have really become calmer and happier after learning from you :) Thank you for being my big sister, love from India ♥
Oh goodness, that last one about conflict management... I just cry for the most part, sometimes I yell, but I'd rather lock myself in my room than yell😂 I am a pro at going in another room and giving the other person the silent treatment and I know it stems from not knowing how to communicate my feelings without yelling or crying or having a panic attack🤦♀️ My family is also pro at being angry but then not communicating and acting like nothing happened. I definitely inherited that and it's frustrating because I know things need to be talked about.
Awww yes acknowledging is the first step! I’ve definitely had to learn that my communication style when I’m frustrated requires a lot more self control 😅 feelings aren’t facts 💕
MAYAAAAA!!! I love this! Thanks. If you've read Rick Warren's PDL, same same with regard to 'A job can just be a job' and a lot more lessons you shared. Check Chapter 22 of his book. It's literally the same lessons as what you shared and I love it!
I feel like I needed this video. As a Christian, I'm going through the "is this the right job for me and is God in it?" I'm studying to be a Teacher Aide and feel so passionate about it
I started watching your video when I was in class-7, and I learn many things from you, thank you so much, 💖💖💖😍I used to always watch your video when I feel demotivated in doing my studies.
I also recommend learning more about your faith especially if you're Christian or Catholic Christian to learn about church history, what the Bible teaches and what the church teaches. I am a huge fan of Bible in a year podcast and Catechism in a year podcast with Fr. Mike Schmitz^_^❤ Praying and talking to Jesus like he is your best friend and praying the holy rosary is what I strive to do ^^🙏❤ I recommend doing ministry and trying new hobbies and try to meet people like friends or dating ^_^ Yes exactly with the frienda changing or the relationships changing. I'm in a stage where I need and want to make new friends as I don't have many friends still in my life. I recommend trying to eat healthier and exercise as a lifestyle which also enjoying treats once in awhile ^_^ I also recommend watching Maya's videos. She is an amazing example of living as a Christian and motivating with her videos and insightful advice. I'm 28 so I can relate to these and looking forward to my 30s^_^ ❤ God Bless and love the advice!^_^
Ah! I'll be turning 22 on March 29~ :') I love these videos that you make! You're literally like the big sister figure I've never had since I'm an only child too hehe~ Do you have more videos on Roth IRAs/ETFs/HYSAs? Or any book recs you have on them? :o I've been wanting to get into that soon after landing my first full-time job! :D Love your videos and always supporting youuu~ :3
Awww thank you for watching!! Congrats on the job 💕 I think articles from the websites I showed briefly can help! It’s pretty straight forward and you can def learn about them in 30 min or less :)
Study abroad if you can and travel if you want to travel and really make use of your free time, pay off debt asap and don't use credit cards, have a savings fund, it's ok to not having everything figured out, read books to learn and enjoy. God Bless!^_^🙏❤
@@mayaleex3 Yes ot definitely was! It was life changing. Living in the US all my life and then living in Japan for about 5 months was incredible and I learned a lot!^_^ Even if people can do it for 1 month or 2 weeks I highly recommend!^_^

Did you speed up your video??
Good ears! I felt like I was talking a bit slowly so I upped it by 5%
I thought the same. It was little too fast for me to hear and process them. So i used the slow motion on youtube setting so ok.

Hi am frm Nigeria 😊
Me: "Did I just hear a hint of Christianese?"
Maya: "As a believer..."
Ah, yes. That wasn't just a flowery speech. She's legit.
But "I'm sorry you feel that way" is not a good apology
